For the record - at 2009 Wasilewski suffered an injury after tackle made by Axel Witsel - it was an open fracture and he was out of the game by almost one year.

Indeed. In the 2009-2010 season Wasilewski was victim of a horrible tackle where he suffered an open fracture of the right leg. Belgian supertalent Axel Witsel was the offender.

I was in the stadium that night and since my best friends father was the former head of the medical staff at Anderlecht, I could follow the whole incident from close by. It was a horrible night for Belgian football caused by the cultivated rivalry between RSC Anderlecht and Standard de Liege. A few months before this incident the championship was decided by test matches between the two, in which Standard showed to be the better side after two games (interesting to know: It was in these test matches that Lukaku made his first appearance in the Anderlecht first squad jersey. He had just turned 16!!).

So Wasilewski surely had his part of the misery. He however did not made himself popular in the season before his injury => a lot of serious tackles, elbows, unsportsmanlike behavior, etc. Especially in the test matches against Standard a few months before he planted an elbow or three-four right in the face of the Standard attackers which made him the number one enemy for the Standard fans.

Since he made his comeback (after more than one year of injury) he soon became a fan favorite in the Constant Vandenstock Stadium. I'm an Anderlecht fan myself but I'm not really a big fan of Wasyl. First of all he has his immense aggressiveness in his game (which I clearly don't like), secondly (and more importantly) he is way to limited as a football player (IMO), only having one option and if this option is blocked... he always has problems. Proved himself to be a good penalty kick taker though :).

A video of the horrible tackle on his right leg (I would like to warn sensitive viewers!)

Nickname "The Butcher" you say? You may find the answer in the next video (for your information: the team in the Red jerseys in Standard de Liege :))

KDB and Krc Genk lost at home with 0-1 from Lokeren after a very very bad game from the team.

You can see it coming now that Kevin didn't have a really great game. Altough he was one of the few working very hard for the team.

He did critisise some player at half time, not a good thing to do i guess in front of camera.

Some quoting:

"Its a disaster, i think that some players don't want to play today. I'm ashamed for some players, if they don't want to play they better stay at home."

His coach Mario Been wasn't happy with his comments and will talk with Kevin today on this issue.

Probably he was also frustrated that some things didn't work out yesterday with some part of the home crowd boing him on occasions.

I wonder how he'll react when he sees the amount of effort our players put in games (or rather don't put in)

But why was he boed by the supporters? Is it because of his comments?

Probably out of frustration that things are going bad, a lit of bit similar with CFC at the moment. Genk is fighting for 6th spot, the last spot to qualify for Play Off 1. Thanks to the loss we got down one spot to 7.

Can you imagine what a f****** day i had yesterday...
