Defintly like said on the Di Matteo/Chelsea decision he/they dammed if they dont strip him and dammed if they dont really. But one incident stupid and idoitic as it may have been shouldnt effect his ablity to lead the team as he has done in the past. Not gana suddenly loose his leadership qualities just unlikely to gain back respect he may have lost...

Chelsea chairman Bruce Buck confirms John Terry will continue to be the club's captain. Full story to follow.

Plus

1. They will not discuss the full details of the punishment.

2. Terry received a very very very heavy fine according to Gourlay.

Max fine allowed at Chelsea is 2 weeks wages. It maybe heavy to you and me, but I don;t think John minds too much.

Yes, only you and me. The footballers and everyone including the members here are super duper rich that they can afford to pay the hefty fine...

I don't get what's your point?

My point is that Gourlay is trying to make it sound like the club punished Terry severely to save the club's image. When Terry probably doesn't care so much about his punishment. I mean if you were making something like 10m per year, I don't think 300-350k would set you back too much.

The sarcasm obviously failed to work there. My point was that you were speaking the obvious. ;)

Buck told Talksport: "John will continue to be captain of the club. We are not going to suspend him for any additional matches that the FA have suspended him for but we have taken firm disciplinary action appropriate to the circumstances."

Gourlay added: "The incident 12 months ago has clouded the most successful period on the club's history."

Rio Ferdinand didn't wear a kick it out t shirt today apparently in protest the the FA not doing enough to punish racial abuse which is ironic since they gave him a slap on the wrist for abusing Ashley Cole, not that anyone in the media will point that out though.

JT has two years left on his contract anyway. so regardless of this whole incident,he would have/will be offered a 1 year deal at most 2 years.

at some point all the knocks he`s taken for the club and England will become too much for him to continue to play with. the broken ribs for example will give him some pain for the rest of his life.

i broke a few of my brother in laws ribs when i was younger. he had to quit his job as a night club bouncer after that and 18 years on i still catch him wincing when he bends over to pick something up off the floor. ribs don`t fully heal as such, they don`t put them in a cast anymore like they used to in the past because that can cause complications.

i`d retire at the end of this deal if i was him. i`d be shocked if he ever played anywhere else.

Headlines and stories everywhere like 'JT is currently banned for racially abusing Anton Ferdinand'

Surely this shouldn't be allowed as its not actually correct, and JT should take all of the cunts to the cleaners? Even the likes of BBC sport, not just the sun etc. Its everywhere.

Someone written some fucking sense at last

Brilliant article, and this is spot in:

It is about Terry, not racism.

It has, from the start, been about Terry and not racism, and I do believe that it has hurt the anti-racism movement as the article suggests.
