Popular Post! LDN Blue 7,903 Posted January 23, 2012 Popular Post! Share Posted January 23, 2012 Wish I had happier news guys but I've just seen this on Twitter; Sad news Legend Bobby Tambling in hospital and not doing well. He is not on net and needs our thoughts, prayers & a few written best wisheshttps://twitter.com/#!/TX_Blue/status/161531311360712705For those who are not familiar, Tambling is Chelsea's top leading goal scorer with 202 goals in 370 games. A record yet to be beaten, of course. I would write a long tribute, but time is restricting, I'm sure one of our more articulate members will care to later on. Keep fighting Bobby! Fulham Broadway 17,331
Lucky enough to see him play -one of the first games I went to and can remember the Standard headline couple of hours later after he'd scored with a fantastic free kick round the wall -''Tamblings Banana''.Played with Greaves and Bridges -all three England Internationals that came through the Chelsea Youth and later Osgood. All had a natural instinct for finding the onion bag. Torres should watch some of their videos.Anyway, I know we are only here for a short time -but hope he gets well soon

Popular Post! Leif 6,006 Posted April 28, 2013 Popular Post! Share Posted April 28, 2013 I got choked up seeing him today. I'm sad that I'm too young to have seen him play live, but highlights and clips (the very few ones that I can find ) make me feel that had I seen more of him, he'd always pop up rather quickly in my head when asked - "Who are your favourite footballers of all time?". I always feel odd (again, sad for some reason) when I watch interviews etc. from him nowadays, maybe because in the back of my mind I feel he doesn't have much time left, but he's a player who has and always will define Chelsea. Here are some pictures of him from the Swansea City game, both during half-time and after the final whistle: adyfosiel, xPetrCechx, Billy. and 5 others
