The only place to be 11,313
Exacly. You can really see the differance in how people feel towards english and non-english players. Double standards. It's got nothing to do with nationality and everything to do with the attitude of each player. Everyone knows Luiz is the most skilful centre-half we have and he has the potential to be world-class, but it's his attitude that people have issues with. ChelseasMessiah 304
I would actually play Ivanovic alongside Terry and Aspi at right back and either of Cole or Ryan at left back. Cahill is stealing a living as a footballer.

Hutcho 8,443
Fwiw I would have Terry and luiz as my no.1 CB partnership as I said last season. But kind of an overaction on the basis of this one game. As per usual. Barbara

Hutcho 8,443
You're insinuating he's worthy of his 100k a week wages? He's robbing us blind. No one is worth their wages. It's the nature of football. It's not like he is the only person who has had a bad game this season. Everyone at somepoint could be deemed to be "not worth their wages". Getting into a discussion about whether a player is worth his wages or not is pointless, and has nothing to do with your statement that he's 'stealing a living'.The fact that he helped us win a Champions League and Europa League (which both have commercial benefits) is probably not what you want to discuss, leaving you with just broad generalisations and hysterical reactions. Messi and cahills situation is the same isn't it... It's not like one is a marketing juggernaut... How about the 100's of players around the world on similar wages who also have bad games. It's not like cahill is the only one. If you use that then at one point every Chelsea player has been "robbing us". It's nothing wrong with that. What you might have a problem with is his playstyle. We bought him to develop him. His price was based not just on his current ability, but on his potential and the one thing holding him back is his attitude. He's shown growth as a player, becoming a lot more no-nonsense but the mental side of his game simply hasn't progressed. You may not have a problem with his attitude but plenty of people do and recent reports suggest some within the club do. That's why he's not been playing. No, Messi is worth every penny he's paid and more, so are many other fooballers, Cahill on 100 bags a week is the second coming of John Dillinger.Again, you're so far out of sync with what Chelsea supporters think that it's almost laughable. Cahill is by no means perfect but he's paid a wage that is about fair considering the market and his transfer fee, and he's been an important member of the squad. He doesn't deserve the level of vitriol that you're directing at him. I've never had cause to question his commitment to the club, I've never seen him shirk a challenge and I've never seen him give less than 100%. He doesn't deserve the abuse you're giving him. didierforever

If commitment without substance were any good, we'd pick out 11 chaps from the stands and win every fucking game.

Lampard is indeed past it, everyone and the club thought likewise before Mourinho appeared in May with a certain unwritten clause on his contract upon returning. And Cahill, as I've said before, is not a Chelsea player in my eyes.Ps, don't even bother replying as I'm done with you regarding these two players, you know my stance, I know yours, full stop. You may punch the ignore button if you please.

And Cahill is a Chelsea player ,he played yesterday and has had a very good season so far ,much better than Luiz, the team is picked on merit under Jose ,there are no favourites, only players who perform play . You are really only relating your own point of view which is very welcome, but you hardly can speak for "everyone at the club" .
