Corazón De León 58
Suarez's explanation on facebook: (I just copied and pasted it!)Hello everyone,First of all, I would like to express my sincere gratitude for all the support I've received these past few weeks. To my family, friends, mates of Uruguayan team and its staff and of course to the Liverpool F.C. (workers, coaches, managers, my teammates, and all who are part of the day-to-day life of this great club), and, of course, all the fans who never once allowed me to feel... alone for even a single second throughout all of this. These past days, I have felt the meaning of that support more than ever: You never walk alone. As many of you know, I was born into a humble family in a working-class neighborhood of a small country. But born and raised with the values of respect, politeness, and sacrifice. My family, from the very first club where I started playing up until my move to Europe, have instilled the values that have shaped the person I am today. Let me be absolutely clear: I've never -- ever -- had a single racial problem with any team mate, player, or person with a skin color or race different from my own. Never. As a result, I am very upset about what has been said about me in recent weeks, all of which have been very far from the truth. This is further compounded by the helplessness I feel for not having done anything yet being accused of something I did not nor would ever do. In my country, the Spanish word for “black” is a term commonly used and does not symbolise any disrespect, let alone racism. Everything that has been said beyond that is completely and utterly false.I will comply with the sanction, but with the acquiescence of someone who has not done anything and who feels extremely upset about what has transpired. I’m sorry for the fans and for the teammates who I will not be able to assist in this coming month. This will be very difficult for me.My only wish is to get back to the stadium and do what I like most again, that is, to play football.Thank you all very much,YNWALuis Alberto Suarez. And I believe him. I don't think hes racist! It was a mistake, he didn't know!
Laylabelle 9,535
Maybe so but the thing is Liverpool have made it worse and drawn more and more attetention to the case really..But the whole tee shirt shit they have done really has just drawn more and more unwanted press attention which they cant complain about because really that is their own fault!Gone a bit overboard and made them look bad really...and their random press thing they did 'he has black desedents or a nan whatever they said' what?!?!!? Doesnt mean anything can still use offensive words!
We Hate Scouse 10,326
And I believe him. I don't think hes racist! It was a mistake, he didn't know!Ok he has branded Evra black during an arguement...What was the need to even point out his skin colour? He used it in an argument in a manor of disrespect to abuse Evra. There is absolutely no two ways about it. How can using a derogatory term to collectively insult an entire race, be deemed racist in one country and not another. His excuse is absolutely pathetic and that's why Liverpool probably aren't appealing. He has absolutely no ground to stand on. He is a disgusting, ignorant individual. osgoodisgod 150
Typical Scouse attitude, they remind me of Celtic - ashamed of nothing, offended by everything
Madmax 9,219
Reporter:”Kenny, the wider world is pretty shocked that, if a player can call someone ‘negro’ and the player who is the victim in this takes offence, that there is no apology or contrition offered from your club.”Dalglish: “I would have thought that, if you pronounced the word properly, you maybe understand it better. I think it was Spanish he was speaking and I don’t think you were speaking Spanish there.”Reporter: ”OK, if a player calls someone ‘negro’ [spanish pronunciation], surely the player who takes offence deserves an apology?”Dalglish: ”Ask a linguistic expert, which certainly I am not. They will tell you that the part of the country in Uruguay where he [Luis Suarez] comes from, it is perfectly acceptable. His wife calls him that and I don’t think he is offended by her. We have made a statement and I think it is there for everybody to read. Luis has made a brilliant statement and we will stand by him.”Unbelievable. Beirut_Blues 306
Well ppl argue it was intended racism, others say he didn't mean anything racist and it's a normal thing to say in his part of the world...What I know is Evra went and complained like a little child about something that happened on the pitch between 2 frustrated players in a derby were tensions run high... And everybody knows Evra is not the ideal role model for anyone.
Peace. 4,352
Their whole inbred club should be banned for the ten years to come. Shameful.

lentherussian 86
I personally dont believe suarez is racist but then again i dont know him. Think there were massive holes in both arguments and only those 2 players will really know what was said but without doubt suarez has been used as a statement of intent from fa. Unlucky but move on. I just hope the fa continue making bold but correct movements on other matters as they seem 2 have bottled making a stance on diving, ref harrasment and tackles that border on assault. I hear that micheal brown has ended butterfield season from barnsley. That footballer if u can call him that, is one of many that makes a name/carreer for himself by trying to hurt good players out of the game and know one does ayhting about it. Whilst the evra suarez incident isnt pretty, its still just name calling. Id much prefer we tried to make football more enjoyable in a country where i believe racism isnt as much of an issue. Peace. 4,352
Doesn't help his cause at all though I disagree. You won't label all US rappers as racist even though they are shooting the n word everytime. In those articles (I think I have seen similar stuff else where) I only see another brainless scouser who has spent hours and hours to try to defend his dear rabbit. Not that I defend Suárez, but there's got to be some line. Agreed on the latter, Queen Kenny is pathetic.

James 5,321
LIVERPOOL plunged headlong into another race storm last night when Oldham kid Tom Adeyemi was left in tears after allegations of vile abuse. The full-back, 20, had to be consoled by team-mates and Liverpool players 10 minutes from the end of this FA Cup third-round tie after a comment shouted from the Kop.Adeyemi was walking back into position after a tackle when a supporter wearing a Luis Suarez T-shirt is alleged to have shouted disgusting racist insults. An eye witness, who later gave evidence to club officials and the police, claimed he heard a single voice shout: "You f****** black b******."http://www.thesun.co...s-at-abuse.html
Laylabelle 9,535
What nice fans they are......probably come out that the shouter didnt actually know what the word means and how should show them support and whatever crap they will sprout out

In those articles (I think I have seen similar stuff else where) I only see another brainless scouser who has spent hours and hours to try to defend his dear rabbit.I used to "embrace(or use) the N (not white) word" if you say so , being a fan of Nas, Rakim, 2pac etc. and seeing films like Juice, M2S, and Boyz n the hood. But when I first watched this video it hit me: Sometimes people just need to be reminded of it, but then you could say blacks embraced the word used against them. like the suffragettes etc. Either way you'd rarely catch someone from the oldest black generation using it. LDN Blue 7,903
It's sickening isn't it? In the last few months Liverpool have done more to support racism than not.
