If AVB wants to make a statement, play Kalou.

Yes, he's wasteful and selfish. But he has pace, is a proven goalscorer and gets into some excellent attacking positions - that puts him ahead of Malouda, Torres and Anelka on present form. Pace on the wings is also essential, so a front three of Mata - Sturridge - Kalou would be a difficult one to mark and pick up - because all three can pull out wide and swap and go central.

I don't think he'll be any better than trying to start with Anelka to be honest...

He's a good impact player and has his moments but when he starts a game, there's always a chance he'll be nothing more than a waste of space on the pitch. I thought he had turned over a new leaf under Carlo in 2010 but the good form last only so long...

Constantly rotating your central strikers and centre backs is a WRONG decision imo..These players need to achieve consistency for the club to have a good season. Choose the most in-forms players and stick with them until need to be rested or become injured.

Shit, I know that things are terrible when BL wants Kalou to start :D

Absolutely correct lol he must of completely lost faith to want that person to start !

I'll never lose the faith, but my patience has long since evaporated. I wouldn't mind, nor be concerned if I was seeing effort and urgency, but all I see is a squad that, on the whole, consists of egotistical, temperamental, overpaid and underperforming wankers who clearly do not give a shit about the club, the fans or the manager. Disgraceful. You can say everything will become rosy again with a handful of results under our belts, but the fact remains our squad is no longer hungry for success or driven by a determination to succeed, they're just happy with their weekly wage packets. Time for a long and arduous revolution, not short-term evolution, and it should start by farming out the useless bastards who let us down week-in, week-out - you know who I'm thinking of.

I hope he plays Bertrand, McEachran and Romeu from the start.. and give Lukaku some minutes towards the end, and start Torres being flanked by Studge and Mata. With Josh's slicing through balls, Romeu's quickness, Bertrand's energy.. I can see them connecting well with the dynamic front 3 of Mata, Nando and Danny.. It would be a young and most importantly a hungry side which will want to prove itself... the oldies don't have anything to prove anymore. And most importantly I think that with Drogba, Mikel, Lampard lately and fucking Malouda, we are too static. And most importantly, it will give a huge statement to everybody.

A boy can dream, can't I? It's not gonna happen though, I don't think he has the balls...
