Queens Park Rangers - kick on or relegated?

I know most Chelsea fans will want Q.P.R straight back down to the Championship, most have probally fantasised about relegating them at The Bridge in April but for the sake of West London football would it be bad if there new owner kicked them on and made them a force in the premier league?

No disrespect to Fulham but the West London derby between us two never seems to get the pulses racing like North London, Manchester and Merseyside one's for example, none of them would have got overlooked on Sky Sports for a Carling Cup match or any match, how often are Fulham V Chelsea game's televised? Hardly ever infact 05/06 was the last time this fixture at the Bridge was. I know a few Fulham fans and most regard Chelsea as their second team.

Q.P.R however in the past has, i can faigly remember the last time they were in the league and it was always a pretty big game, the rivary has died down in recent years due to Q.P.R being down the division's but their fans have an obsessive hatred towards us and Loftus Road is without doubt going to be absolutely buzzing when we go there in 2 weeks time.

So if their new owner kicks them on and makes them a force in this league could it be a good thing for us and West London as a whole?

thoughts?

I agree.

It would be nice to have our own derby. Like Tottenham-Arsenal, Liverpool-Everton, ManUnited-ManCity. Chelsea-Fulham holds no baring for most fans, we recognise the geographical distance but we're not typical regional rivals.

QPR have a fantastic fan base and their ground in very good too. QPR-Chelsea would be an excellent derby, but these things come down to the fans too, they make derby atmospheres what they are.. I do think more fans would enjoy a win over QPR than Fulham. No disrespect to them though.

There's always Millwall though :Goober:

Having been brought up in Greenford and now living in Richmond, I have been around QPR fans all my life. I don't think most Chelsea fans realise how much they hate us, Chelsea are actually an obsession to them. I can remember them beating us 6-0 as a little kid and my mates Dad actually bought him an engraved plaque with it on!!!!....I want then down as soon as possible, they will inevitably win against us sometime if they are an established PL side and will live on the result for another 10 years....

Down, 100 percent down! I have a mate who supports the fuckers and hes waiting for the day that they beat us or even get a draw so he can rub it in. It's like an obsession of theres to see us fail. The things i read him post about us makes me laugh. Miserable twats!

Wow small world....I used to get in the Litten pub alot in my youth, off Oldfield Lane. It is a nursing home now though. I spose with White City being just up the A40, you are gonna get alot of Rangers fans.

The way I always look at it is they are to us what Brentford are to them....

I actually hadn't heard of QPR till earlier this year, are they that obessesed with CFC, though?

Here is an excellent opportunity to do some research about Chelsea. I don't know how I came about this video, but there is a video called "The Pride and the Passion- Chelsea London Derbies". I believe it came out in early 1990's & it only has highlights of Chelsea vs. other London clubs. It can give you a bit of insight on Chelsea's rivals. I believe I got it from MaxXed Footie forums, but I am not sure. Also check out the 100 years of Chelsea vids, it has a bit more insight on there as well.

Oh btw, I do find it funny that QPHaha are higher up the table than both le arse & fulcrap. That might be changing though. Fulcrap dropped 6 on QPHaha & we get those bums shortly ;)

Instead of schoolwork that is exactly what I did. Out of the entire West Derbies we [Chelsea] have won the most with 65 wins beating QPR with only 46 wins, Brentford with 41 wins and Fullham with 38 wins. :541: Fullham have a pathetic record.

We [Chelsea] have also drawn the most and lost the least at 40 and 26 respectively.

No way, Bethams my first school -parents dragging me to Holy Cross, never made it to Costons over the road though. Small world indeed.

Richmond a bit of a step up, lovely place , and lovely house prices as well !
