Roman Abramovich buys £90 million ex-Russian spy house in London

Once owned by the Russian Government and used as a spy base during the Cold War, this huge Kensington Palace Garden home has just been snapped up by the Chelsea owning Russian Oligarch Roman Abramovich

Roman Abramovich no doubt appreciates many of the features of his new Kensington Palace Gardens home - the unparalleled security, the world’s richest neighbours, the extensive gardens - but its connection to his motherland may also have been an attraction.

The 15-bedroom property, exclusively revealed to be of interest to Abramovich by FindaProperty.com last month, used to be owned by the Russian government, which during the Cold War would monitor activities from this base. Belgian hedge fund manager Pierre LaGrange bought the property from the Russians in 2004 for £19 million, when, according to a property source, it had “radio rooms” for surveillance and was in an appalling condition.

It's good to see him move to London. This shows he is still committed to the club and hasn't got bored yet. Hopefully he never will ;)

He hasnt moved to London -he travels throughout the World to avoid being taxed as a UK resident.

He has 11 houses average worth £30 m each in Russia, South of France, Carribean, and London, and 6 flats in London. Four super yachts -but drives a 4 year old VW !

Roman continues to show his wealth.

What he payed for Torres, he easily spend more on a house...

I wish i could see a documentary of this man, or at least an interview with him on his view of Chelsea.

Yeah same, there seems to be nothing to know about Roman, maybe he doesn't like camera's or something.
