Melanicus 5,208
Reports in the Netherlands this morning state that Mexican Under-20 World Cup star Ulises Dávila has agreed a deal with Chelsea and will spend the 2011-12 season on loan at their affiliate club Vitesse Arnhem.De Telegraaf led the way in reporting that the Blues have agreed a €2m deal with Guadalajara for the services of the exciting forward, and that the deal should be concluded this week.Dávila would be required to spend at least a year in the Eredivisie as he would not currently qualify for a UK work permit. Having impressed hugely at the competition just finished in Colombia, he was reportedly chased by Ajax, PSV and AZ Alkmaar, but has opted to commit his future to Chelsea. He was also a standout performer at the 2010 CONCACAF Under-20 competition and the 2011 Toulon Tournament, as well as being a previous winner of the Manchester United Premier Cup back in 2006.A short video can be seen , but it is naturally worth taking the news with a pinch of salt. Whilst De Telegraaf (and those which have followed in their lead, like Voetbal International are reputable outlets, the deal is yet to be confirmed.More as it develops.http://thechels.net/...r-chelsea-deal/

OReillyD36 311
I didn't see much of the U-20 world cup, is he a striker or a winger?
EskWeston 696
So difficult to know if there is any truth in these deals as Chelsea hardly ever comment on them, only in certain cases like Delac, Raijkovic & Courtois have we confirmed we owned a player before he comes to the club...
