The only place to be 11,313
βOn the other hand, there is an awful lot of interest in me from other clubs. If you want to believe that means 1+1 is 2, well yes, I guess you could be right. If that's an accurate translation, he sounds like a bit of a bitch.Even if that's slightly off, why is he talking yet again?? There are Kardashians who show greater restraint when a microphone is shoved in front of their face.Yes Romelu, there will always be competition for spaces at this club. Yes we're going to buy players. But if you actually step up and impress Jose, you'll play. Ask Azpi.Of course if that doesn't appeal to you then you can just ask for a transfer (again!) and go to a club like Everton where you'll start every week. Zyphus 1
Omfg little bitches here, make sure you learn to accurately translate dutch, before you comment on nonsense. Just hope Courtois, Hazard, Musonda and Lukaku leave because with dumb supporters like this, it's really not worth it. didierforever

The Rising Sun 711
This is Sturridge V 2 on this forum all over again. When sturridge was a bit outspoken and believed he should play striker, he got a similar reaction as Lukaku is getting here.He was sold, and now he is one half of europe's best strike force.Lukaku is in a similar situation, with other clubs recognising his worth, and teams all the way from CL Finalists atletico, to Italian Champions Juventus and probably a few more wanting him. But Chelsea? We are remaining tight lipped and dont seem to be keen.I really hope for our own sake that better judgement prevails by our board this time.We have already bought Costa, so the board have made their statement of Intent. Now lets secure that position, not give some other european powerhouse Hulk. Coop and didierforever
The only place to be 11,313
I will laugh within 6months when Costa becomes a second Torres Why would you laugh at that? How does that benefit this club?BTW....when presented with Torres as his competition, Lukaku bottled it and asked for a transfer to a club where he wouldn't have as much competition for a spot.Is there any truth to the rumours that he was considering asking for a transfer to the Andorran team before Benteke's injury? When sturridge was a bit outspoken and believed he should play striker, he got a similar reaction as Lukaku is getting here.Lukaku asked to leave this club!!!!What the fuck is with people who don't understand this? He said he wanted to leave Chelsea Football Club, the club most people on this forum (obviously not this particular thread) support. Popular Post! DYC. 7,542 Posted June 7, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted June 7, 2014 I'm sorry but there is something wrong with those quotes. He just can't go from this: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2646047/Romelu-Lukaku-insists-wants-stay-Chelsea-despite-uncertainty.htmlTo wanting to leave in just 3 days! The mail has taken the article down while neither the telegraph nor the guardian give a reference or say where or when he said so. They could just be relying on the mails fake quotes.Let's wait a bit more before we pass judgement. Here we go, the actual translation of the quotes he made in an interview with a Belgian website (as translated by someone on Twitter):"With Chelsea I saw a lot of good strikers come and go the last years, so we'll see what the future brings. I know a lot of clubs are interested in me, but first I want to play a good WC. If we do well there, everyone wins." That's it, no more. He's basically just saying that he knows that his future at Chelsea is not guaranteed which is only realistic. Nothing about wanting to leave what so ever.Fuck the daily fail. This is low, even for them!Thought I'd quote this again for those who missed it. Thanks Choulo.Something did seem wrong about those 'quotes'. The English media have been trying to make it seem Courtois and Lukaku, the most high-profile loanees, are very keen to leave for such a long time. I'm surprised so many people jumped the gun so quickly. didierforever, Eden2020, ChelseaFSee and 2 others
The Rising Sun 711
Lukaku asked to leave this club!!!!What the fuck is with people who don't understand this? He said he wanted to leave Chelsea Football Club, the club most people on this forum (obviously not this particular thread) support. So what if he had asked to leave this club?He is a young guy and is temperamental. Having signed Eto only a day before the Super cup , and him missing the penalty were factors. Not wanting to compete with 3 strikers was not a fair reason, but a childish one. However, another season has gone where he has performed. We should do everything to keep him here. The fact is that he will be a fantastic second striker for us to have next season. As i did state in my previous posts, that in the worst case scenario, where he is sold, then we must buy someone who is fantastic, and not have Torres as our second choice.I dont rate Mandzukic so thats a subjective opinion. But he must be told where he is in the pecking order. I.E. Second choice or third choice behind Torres. He cant breakthrough as a 3rd choice and that makes it right for him to leave, but at second choice, he can do well and get his gametime as well.I still dont get the analogy that being one of the people who posted on this thread, I dont support Chelsea? zyzz 711
Lukaku is the best striker we have right now and he knows it. Why shouldn't he make confident statements like that? What else should he say? Why people can't see the conflict between those two I don't know. Lukaku needs Chelsea a hell of a lot more than we need someone who has said quite clearly he doesn't want to be a part of this club. To rely on Torres,Etoo and Ba to screw up so you maybe get a chance to impress doesn't sound like the best plan to me.What would I have done? Dunno. I'm not a top-level sportsman with a huge competitive instinct and the mental toughness to back myself when faced with adversity. So I'd have probably asked to go somewhere where I'd have been guaranteed a spot.Hang on, Everton are calling me on my other line. Either use him or regret letting him go like SturridgeAll this talk about mental strength, how he asked to leave the club....geez, he's 21 and still maturing as a player and a manSo you don't think that we should judge a player on his actions. You don't think that asking for a transfer away from this club when faced with a bit of adversity is reflective of his attitude?Do you think Jose might look into that a bit?Lukaku got chances at the start of the season. He would've got more because Torres is shit, Ba is average and Eto'o was old and out of shape. Who the fuck is Lukaku surrounding himself who would give him advice to ask to leave one of the biggest clubs in the world when that was his competition? He was in the squad for EVERY game he was here. He got progressively more minutes in the league and one of the greatest coaches in world football backed him to take a penalty against the European champions. But yes....blah, blah Sturridge...blah blah oh you're so great Lukaku we'll not survive without you.
