Do you do sports and if so, what type of sports?As a thread starter ill tell a bit about my past and present routines.. I consider myself a physically active person and from a young age have been taking part of different activities. I really enjoy team orientated sports bc they are so much more rewarding. When i was young i used to sky a lot, but after a while i realised it's great leisure time activity but something not for me. So soon my workouts became more strength orientated and it all began with simple ''100 push-up series''. It gave me strength and stamina to move on to P90X, which ive done through once in succession plus a year now ive been selecting different exercises and workouts from there to bring in to weekly routine. As the goal is to gain mass not lose it, the plan divides between 3 strength and 2 cardio days. Weekend is for rest and football. Usual bench weights vary from 50kgs to 70kgs, all depends on the day and work out intensity. (8-10 reps mass, 12-15 definition). On jogging days, the usual goal is to cover a distance between 6-7 kms, which i spice up with a 100m dash in the end to get the 'best' out of myself. Any other sports fanatics on this board? My weight was that moment 81kg 178lbs (in shape), my length is 180cm. Unfortunately i got affected with leukaemia in January, many chemotherapies, radiotherapies and a bone marrow transplantation got me 'fixed' i'm still recovering. I lost all my muscle tissue and my weight is now 65kg, 143lbs (off shape). Whenever i'm fully recovered i'll go train hard again and chase my dreams! It's so hard to put on muscle unless youre on a very strict routine or have just freak genetics. Goodluck Vincent and hopefully bodybuilding has given you a positive outlook on life and its tricky paths, bcs ive always thought that it builds character At the end of the day, it's just sport.. main thing is to keep fighting and keep the faith mate.. When I was younger I used to be so fat but then I was quite sick for about 4 years and lost a lot of weight and that kinda spurred me on to get fit! I joined gyms, went to motivation clinics etc and now I exercise nearly everyday without fail. I have my own treadmill and I either go on that for 30 mins including 25 mins of the gym plate and then crunches and all or I go out to ardgillan and run the hill of death! I literally can't go a day without exercising or I feel so guilty! I have done bootcamps and signed myself up for another dance one and a zumba dance class also. I really enjoy exercising and the odd time if I feel I'm slacking a bit i'll sign myself up for a marathon so that I have something to aim for or I bye clothes that are a dress size smaller than me so my target would be to fit into it I'd say I spend over an hour a day exercising, its not that much but I don't have time. I started getting pretty tall so I began playing basketball, i started getting pretty heavy so I began playing Rugby League. Within 2 years of starting league i was selected for a representative side and played for them for two seasons until i gave up to focus on my school work. I now keep fit by running 4kms 2 times a week.. Other then that ive kept fit by doing Athletics, Tae Kwon Do, Indoor Soccer, Cricket and Rugby Union over the years.. It's a great sport though, makes you solid I did enjoy it there to be honest, but some of the injuries you can get there by just training and sparring, it does make you solid that's the good outcome of it. There was a guy at our gym who had a fight and told us the bloke could kick like a horse, his full legs were damaged and bruise and he had to stand up to take a shit lol!. But just to warn you Thai's are really strict, well mine was, at first he used to call my kicks shit, and he would let me know i was shit, but i just kept on practicing and soon when he praised me i knew i done good because he's a person who is hard to please.
