They 'can' meaning we have a say in the matter.-_-

They 'can' means Barca have the luxury of watching him here for 2 years and then deciding if he's worth the buyback amount in the contract. If they decide he is and if they activate the clause, we cannot say no, unless we have a Bojan type arrangement in place, which if we do, isn't public yet.

honestly i cant see us agreeing to a deal which allows us to effectivly turn a young player into a possible finished article and then allow barca to waltz in a take him back again. We must surely have a say in it

The player has no obligation to go back though.

This. Madmax is insisting in the same subject. The buy back clause is not even made public. All we have is news coming from spanish press. We dont even know if buy back clause exist or how its gonna work.

It doesnt make any sense to moan based in news from spanish press.

Romeu to undergo Chelsea medical whilst on international duty

Posted on Friday, 29th July 2011 by Anthony Williams

Orial-Romeu-Spain.jpgChelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas confirmed to the press that Spanish midfielder Oriol Romeu will undergo a medical with the club's medical staff whilst in Colombia, as the 19-year-old is competing in the FIFA Under-20 World Cup.

The Blues have agreed a fee with Barcelona for Romeu, which is reportedly worth around €5m and the Catalan side have the option to re-sign him for €10m in 2013, but that doesn't mean Romeu would go even if they did meet the buyback clause as he is not obligated to accept personal terms.

When the deal is finalised Romeu will become Andre Villas-Boas' second signing as Chelsea manager after Thibaut Courtois joined from Genk for €9.5m earlier this month. Romeu could provide useful cover for the injured Michael Essien and AVB is a long-term admirer of the player, who he tried to sign whilst at Porto.

only watched about 15 mins there but wasnt much to get from that, his positioning looks a bit suss at times but im sure that he has played some good stuff as well, looked to me like he was actually playing as CB for most of what i seen altho he did press up the pitch when he got the chance
