He made 0 appearances for Vitesse. Whereas Courtois won the league with Genk. We can't pin our hopes on Delac becoming world class, no harm in covering your bases for the future.

So what is going to happen to Delac?

Who knows what the club has planned for him. He is only 18, has a point to prove and remains a top prospect.

I saw his interview to a croatian journalist few days ago.He said that he'll be patient and wait for Chelsea to arrange another loan to one English club where Matej will have a chance to be first team regular and gain much needed experience.cool.gif

Very smart and intelligent young man, doesn't complain about anything. He is fascinated and honoured to be a part of CFC.When asked about his first training and meeting with the guys he answered Drogba made him say something in English and Delac said:'Chelsea is the best club in the world' and then they all laughed together.biggrin.gif

Done deal??

According to our newspaper Chelsea would pay between €8M and €10M and sent him one year back on loan to Genk.. Koen Casteels, the other youth prospect in goal at Genk will be sent one year on loan to OH Leuven and then takes Courtois place as first goalie at Genk..

It seems that way but it is by no means right.

Try to get used to it, every club will try to milk as much money as possible from us. We and City are richest around and money isn't on the list of our problems. I'd rather have great amounts of money that will allow us to get the best players possible then to improvise and risk.

Director Degraen from Genk has been in London again yesterday our newspaper understand. It's believed that it is waiting for the return of Courtois dad, who's the manager of his son, from vacation today or tommorow and talks can continue...

Note, between 15 july (friday) and 27 augustus Genk stops all transfer talk, all bids after friday will be talked about after this period..
