Was wondering what you all thought of him?

For years he was known as a actor on Eastenders so most people did not care either way but i have to say in the last few years he has scoured round Eastern Europe and beyond to interview gang members, pirates you name it.

The people he interviews and meets are dodgy people and IMO it takes huge balls because all it takes is for one to turn on him or him to say something out of turn and he's fucked, ive walked round eastern europe in the dead of night and i can tell you its scary shit but he still goes out to these places again and again and again.

Whether you like him or not he (and his crew) deserves immense respect for the way they constantly put them self's at risk to make people more aware of what there is in the world because i would not have the bottle to do what he does and is still doing.

A bit stereotype there, unless you are non-white or have an urge to loudly demonstrate your foreign origin, you will be fine.If you are black or any other race, it increases the chance of getting into a brawl, but it's not like a gangsters' paradise here. You can get mugged or get into a fight everywhere, not only in eastern europe

I doubt he's in that much danger to be honest, they wouldn't be allowed risk his life. (Except Afganistan)

He probably has a small army following him and an insane amount of safety checks before he meets with any of those people.

Even with that said his shows are interesting to watch.

Much as the show is looking for dramatic cues and stories , I think his specials have been a brilliant leap from his ' gangs around the world ' series and that in itself was brilliant . He does put himself out there , the pirates specials with the 3 episodes show how much he goes out of a sane person's comfort zone to get the story . The Nigeria episode is a good example .

He's a credit to modern journalism , much like Louis Theroux .
