A truly woeful football match from both sides imo. Next to no goalmouth action. Passing was terrible, set pieces were terrible, dribbling was terrible. Oh well.... Annoying result yes, but the serious stuff begins next week.
-
Not related to this match but same venue. Well done to the Chelsea Ladies winning the FA Cup for the first time. First ever womens team to win at Wembley. Another piece of history that can never be taken away. Well done girls. Fantastic!!
-
I've got tickets for this bad boy!! Can't fucking wait! Come on Chels!! Another 6-0 will do very nicely!!
-
If we had not have played so well in the last 30 mins this thread would have double, maybe triple the pages. All moaning bitches complaining as per usual, blah, blah fucking blah. 'This is a match where we are not obsessed with the result, we just want to train' Jose Mourinho. Proves my fucking point from the pre-match thread. The result isn't that important. Pre-season is not about free flowing beautiful football. Players on top form, etc. Stop moaning about it you bunch of miserable bastards!!
-
You're obviously not reading what I'm saying properly. In which case we might as well leave it there.
-
Yes, the result means nothing and I didn't mention anything about letting anybody win. You say it creates a winning or losing mentality. We lost the majority of our pre-season games in 09 and went on to win the double so that is total nonsense. These games are there to brush away the cobwebs and improve match fitness. Obviously we would all rather win the games than lose them but frankly, it doesn't mean jack either way, and people should stop taking it so dam seriously.
-
The idea of pre-season is to blow away the cobwebs. To give everyone a good amount of of minutes. To get everyone back to full fitness. The results are almost irrelevant. Some people take it way to seriously. As long as we have everyone fit and ready by 8th august, that's all that matters.

He is right though...
-
I remember when that match clock read 50 days, now it's just 15 hours. We are nearly back!!!
-
Good loan IF he gets the games. With a player like Cabaye feeding him chances on a plate he could really do something there. I hope it goes well and he gets given his chance here next season.
-
Like he made it perfectly clear in his first season back he was done buying then along came Eto'o and Willian.... Don't believe a word Jose says, mate. Lol.
-
With the same squad that tore the most competitive league in the world a new arse last season? The same squad that are now a year older, a year more experienced, are now winners. Champions. We're in the 3rd week of July and you have already decided that we are not winning the PL or CL next season..... Words fail me....
-
30 mill.... fuck off!! Even 20 mill is too much!
-
Unsure why there is so much hate towards this decision, if this is true obviously. Vic did very well in the year he played with us. As a squad player he can do a good job. People have this obsession in going out and buying players when we have perfectly good players out on loan etc. Give him a chance. Couldn't be any worse than Cuadrado.
-
What about Steve Sidwell or Khalid Boularouhz :-P
-
There you go then..... World class talent at a decent price is asking too much and we got lucky last year. You have just agreed with me essentially and given an argument against your original post. It isn't going to happen so you need to cut Jose and the board some slack. As for the 2nd part of your post, I think Muzchap answered it better than I ever could.
-
I was at the game he made his debut. He came off the bench against Newcastle in a League Cup game, we were 3-1 down and he totally changed the game. 17yo I think at the time and he bossed that midfield like he had been there 10 years. We pulled the game back to 3-3 and I thought, wow! We have someone special here. How badly it nosedived from there.
-
Fabregas at 27 mill and Costa at 32 mill. That is buying serious talent at decent prices. It doesn't have to be under £20 mill for example to be a decent price. I see all the names fly about. Maybe the clubs don't want to sell. And if they would sell it would be ridiculous money. Oh we should buy this player or that player. It just isn't that simple is the point I am trying to make and I think some people should cut Jose and the club some slack. You have totally misunderstood the point of my post. I have not said don't buy players. As I mentioned in my reply to BlueLyon. I'm simply making the point it isn't as easy as grabbing this player and that player as some people seem to make out when slating Jose and the club for not having brought anyone in. (Bar Falcao of course)
-
It is all well and good talking the talk like that but in reality it isn't as simple. I asked you to name me a world class talent who is available at a decent price. You couldn't. Proves my point
-
That's a bit harsh. We have a first 11 that walked the league pretty much last season. The only way to strengthen that is with absolute worldies. Name me one worldie who is available and not at a ridiculous price. It isn't as simple as going out and buying this player and that player. Cut him some slack.
-
Crikey.... This guy hasn't even been here 12 hours and already he is being written off. Trust Jose's judgement fgs!! He doesn't often let us down. Why don't we reserve judgement on him until he has at least pulled on the famous royal blue. If we get behind him and support him rather than pulling the trigger before he has even started he might have half a chance! Welcome Falcao. Here is to a fantastic season together.
-
Back in 09 it was reported City made a 50 mill bid for him. He responded by penning a new 5 year deal and winning the double
-
Will they literally tear down Stamford Bridge and rebuild a new stadium, just like Wembley for example?
-
Oh I agree 100%. It will certainly hurt seeing him pull on that shirt. But reading some of the posts on here just leaves me baffled. The service this man gave to our club was phenomenal. What he achieved was phenomenal. He should be thanked for what he did for us. Not abused because he didn't want to sit on the bench.
-
Some people on here are fucking disgusting. Some posts I have read on here are downright shameful!! Some people have very short and fickle memories. Good luck Pete. As sad as it is to see you leave I can totally understand why. Thanks for all the memories. You will always be Chelsea. Proper Chelsea. A legend. 'If Big Pete's happy, I'm happy!'
