That's why that v.Ginkel injury is biting us. He could have done just that. But i haven't seen enough of him to say whether he could be defensively sound in the pivot. We know De Bruyne is seldom used in the pivot because he isn't good defensively. IMO he has great DLP qualities from his time at the Werder Bremen pivot.
-
Absol-fucking-lutely. Quality performace...DEFENSIVELY
-
He took his eyes off the ball only after it left him. Definitely a mistake but certainly wouldn't come close to 'The Boruc' or 'The Hart'. And i certainly would'nt call this a Courtois An understandable mistake. Not as bad as they get.
-
Not just be the goals scored. Obviously goals scored are the first thing but the quality of the goals(finishing), positional play, link-up play, passing and assists should all be taken into consideration. For all i know, a midfielder could play the game of his life and create chances for the striker for him to simply tuck 'em in. That might check the positioning box but that doesn't make him the better player than the midfielder. A striker needs to check all the boxes for him to have a good game.
-
Why say 'competition is the name'? if they are gonna be played based on performance.
-
I'm positive that he is gonna evolve to a goal- machine in the future with his strength to get around defenders and his movement in the final third. He also holds up the ball well bringing in midfielders into the game pretty much suited for the Mourinho style of play. But one attribute he needs to develop is his link up play which, sadly, cannot be developed at Everton due to their style of play.
-
But you choir mate did number them. So how'd you reckon Mourinho will play with them next season, competition-wise? Fuck me if you say Cha Cha for CL, Torres for PL and Tank for others.
-
That's double standards.
-
Torres staying as our 3rd option and possibly our League Cup striker. In your dreams.
-
7/10 times the ball cannot be knocked away with one hand when you're going backwards and sidewards at the same time. The only way he could made a better attempt at catching was to dive with both hands but that runs the risk of him going head on into the post. Go try it out Choo Choo, its not easy as you think.
-
God, i miss the Drogs.
-
Like that's gonna happen
-
Ha, That looks good on paper but you honest think Torres is going to stay at the club being our #3 option? Don't think so. Also it'd be ludicrous by the board to keep a 50m man on 175,000/week wages as a third choice striker.
-
Definitely in terms of talent but form-wise, I'm not so sure. But on their day, this squad can beat any team.
-
Porto ready to sell if they fail to progress to the CL last 16. Having to defeat Athletico Madrid at home and hoping Zenith doesn't get a win at the other game in their group is pretty steep. So great chance of getting him. Still, I wouldn't prefer him in our attack....and this will make Lukaku increasingly frustrated. Wise to hold off till summer and analyse our striking options before making another expensive signing.
-
He certainly deserves it if we take just this season.
-
Jackson Marinez seems most likely. Great buy if we get him for 30m. Will only happen if Porto didn't qualify for the last 16 of the CL. But they need a win against Athletico Madrid away and hope Zenit loses to Austria Vienna away.
-
And this was a never a red card.
-
I wouldn't call that a howler. Tricky ball, easy to get caught out but that was a preventable goal.
-
The only consolation is that the last 16 is after the winter transfer window. Maybe we can sort out our pivot by then and maybe our attack as well. And we do step up for the big- matches, don't we?? Any teams other than Bayern or RM are manageable.
-
I'll go with the NOT-SO-TIRED team for this one and back to 4-2-3-1. .......................................Cech.............................. Azpi...................Luiz......................Terry......................Cole ..............................Rami....................Mikel.......................... Shurr...............................Mata........................Hazard ......................................Torres.................................... Currently only, Rami got the legs to trod 90 minutes every 3 days. With Schneiderlein and Wanyama in their pivot, it is going to be pacey in the middle. Mata and Schurr deserves the start, so does Hazard. Either we get things right and dominate the game or it'll be Basel all over again. Carefree. KTBFFH

Ronaldo? Who?

9 matches including the Staueu match. i reckon atleast 4 starts to get his Chelsea career back on track. Or he is gone by the end of January.
