  1. Yes, the rumours are true. Sabatini is in London to negociate the transfers of Destro to Tottenham (€25m / £20m) and Benatia to Chelsea (€37m / £30m). He will be in the stands for the West Ham - Tottenham game. Also he will meet with City to negociate a loan deal (with option to buy next summer) for Jovetic. Reports say that he will then go to France to enquire about the availabilty of Kalou and Basa from Lille.
  2. Montana is such a hottie
  3. I think he'll end up playing for Monaco. Of all the rumoured teams, they are in need of a GK the most. Carlo will stick with Casillas and Paris need to sell, not to buy another GK, in order to fund the De Maria deal. Big boots to fill for Courtois, but I think Chelsea is lucky to have him. There is no better GK in this world to continue Petr's legacy. Hopefully Lollichon will stay put.
  4. Bendtner doesn't even look like a footballer, let alone a guy you could trust to lead the line in your team. I would not hire him even if you would pay me to do it. Stupid move from Wolfsburg. Even a one legged Torres is miles better than Bendtner.
  5. Yes, I couldn't believe it either, I thought it is another made-up story coming from the deluded Romanian media. This move shows you how much inflated the transfer market is. Three years ago, no one thought this guy would make it to the big scene, now he's going to play in the EPL... I find it hard to believe he'll dispatch Yoshida - Fonte from the hart of defence. Gardos is nowhere near their level. I don't think he has the quality to start for any team in the EPL. I guess you are talking about Bonton Palace. Well, for you, or for the English fans, £5.5m is not that much. But for a Romanian, belive me, it is a hell lot of money. This country is not used to see foreign clubs pay that much for a player. I can name you at least five or six players better than Chiriches that were sold for less then £2m. Now you have Chiriches and Gardos, two average defenders, leaving this amateur league for a combined amount of £14m. There's something fishy regarding these two transfers, especially the Chiriches one. There is a lot of talk about money laundering between Baldini and Becali brothers (Chiriches' agents and two of the most corrupt people in this country), but I don't want to talk about it because we are on a Chelsea forum.
  6. Can't believe Southampton have payed £5.5m for Steaua Bucharest's Florin Gardos. One of the slowest and most overrated defenders ever. He makes Per Mertesacker look like Usain Bolt. I feel sorry for the Saints fans. Replacing Lovren with this mug is a big insult and a big "Fuck off, we don't even care about you" message from the board. Btw, the guy is a total scum, a butcher, he always looks for the career ending tackles.
  7. Complicated situation here. Doyen Sports owns 75% of his rights and now there is a war between Sporting and Doyen - the investment fund want to sell him, while Sporting don't and they are trying to end the agreement with Doyen and own Rojo's rights.
  8. "I'm very happy to be joining Everton because it's a great club, which likes to play football, and it's a great pleasure to be here," Atsu told evertontv. Glad that the Chelsea board chose to send him to a football team that actually likes to play football. Seems the right move. Imagine if he had to go to a rafting team, or hiking in the US.
  9. Mine, too Thanks for posting this, haven't had time to check the CFC Facebook account :blue scalf: :blue scalf: :blue scalf: :blue scalf:
  10. Yeah, didn't he looked good?? And ready to be Filipe's back-up?? Great prospect
  11. I was always impressed by his tackling skills everytime I watched Atletico. The guy is a tackling machine, never afraid to dive into a challenge. Just like van Ginkel.
  12. Courtois would not be here now if he wasn't granted the starting spot. And I think Jose did that back in March when Courtois said that was the meeting that has convinced him to stay at Chelsea this season. He's had Europa League and Champions League finals, lots of difficult games at Camp Nou and Bernabeu. I think he is more than ready for Turf Moor. -------- Courtois -------- Azpi Cahill Terry Filipe ------- Cesc Matic ------ - Andre Oscar Hazard - ------ Diego Costa ------ Carefree!!
  13. Back to full fitness in one week. Another reason not to trust that miserable and never reliable Marca. Such a disgusting outlet.
  14. I saw the interview with Jose on CTV right after the Sociedad game and he said that Drogba has a minor injury and he'll be back to full fitness in maximum one week. So I guess there's no other centre forward coming in this window. Rumours about Benatia starting to pick up though.
  15. Liverpool, Tottenham, Arsenal, United, Real Madrid. With a special mention for: 1) Liverpool - because of their deluded supporters, especially the Romanian fanbase. There is a very big community of Liverpool fans here in Romania and they have all the characteristics of an English scouse. I despise everything about them. They only talk about history, bygone times and how they hate teams investing lots of money on buying players and stuff. I remember having two or three Liverpool fans at work. They were some of the guys who founded this Liverpool fan club here in Romania. They were working for the IT section (bearded guys with glasses, big hair, big belly and homeless looks), while I was working for another department. One day, they were all wearing Liverpool shirts and we started a conversation. I told them I support Chelsea FC and man, they treated my like I was some kind of child rapist or terrorist. It didn't even matter we were working together. They started talking about Abramovich's money, Mourinho, history and all kinds of shit. Everytime I remembered them they are some useless team nowadays that didn't win a EPL trophy in ages, they were responding by talking about the 70s and 80s trophies and how great Paisley, Shankly, Dalglish, Barnes were, things they didn't even witness. Also, according to the Romanian scousers, Liverpool is yet to win a trophy for so many years because the other teams, with their money, ruined the league and stole the beauty of it. They blame Abramovich and the Arab owners for buying the league every year and the refs for helping United. The only thing that matters for a Romanian scouser is the years before 1990. And there are lots of others stories about these deluded Romanian scousers. 2) Tottenham - I hate them because of the way Romanian media reacted to the Chiriches move. Man, months before the move and months after the move you couldn't read or watch anything other than how great Tottenham are and what an amazing team they will be now that Chiriches has signed for them. Newspapers, talk shows, all about Tottenham and their quest to dominate European football in the next years. Then months after they realised how shit Tottenham are, they stopped talking about them and concentrated on Chiriches and his Chelsea move. Although there was nothing in the European media to suggest Chelsea would want to sign Chiriches, all the newspapers and TV shows were talking about this move and how impressed Mourinho is by him and how he sees him as Terry's successor.
  16. I said it last summer, last winter, two months ago and I say it again - there is no better centre back in European football to fill John Terry's boots. Glad he didn't join City, now hopefully he won't join United either. I know Chelsea can spend up to €70-80m this month w/o breaching the FFP rules, so Benatia and Remy would end this terrific transfer window on a high note.
