  1. we didn't sell anyone to Arsenal and if you think they're progressing by winning FA Cups, well, then that's your view of it. I don't think they are. We sold to United, Everton, others, but not Arsenal.
  2. Downside? I call it the biggest benefit. I liked the old days when teams had most players with them for years instead of nowadays when this is the exception. This obsession with spending mindlessly every window is what inflated price tags in the first place. I don't like this constant renovation where every season half a team is shipped. I prefer quiet windows with teams making a couple of clinical transfers and demanding managers to find other ways to make titles move from where they are. Today it feels like everything should be fixed with money injection and short term solutions. We've done it for years, I'm not an hypocrite to deny I'm thankful for Roman's money. It changed the game, but it got out of control and I like that FFP may force teams to work within themselves to improve instead of splashing crazy amounts of money. So I'm hopeful this is going to be a quieter window all around compared to the last few years.
  3. and still they win bollocks... which means there isn't much real strengthening going on, is there? just letting go of big or popular names that aren't first team material here, but that could have been somewhere else...
  4. I watched the match against Brazil and I still don't know what people praising Cuadrado were seeing. I see him almost as useless and uninspiring as for us. So one nearly decent free kick that produced a deflected goal must have been the reason he got praise. As I write it as it happened, I still don't get those people.
  5. except he doesn't have the power to do that all by himself. He left it clear during the last window and at the end of the previous season (13/14) that he doesn't get to decide who comes. He gives them names and it's up to them to agree. Also, how come is it a favor? What is Jorge Mendes getting out of it? Falcao has a contract with Monaco, that won't change. We'll pay some fee for the loan agreement - that is rumored to be around 7m - which is exchange for someone like Mendes. Do I find this transfer the most random and nonsense thing ever? Absolutely. I'm 110% against it, but I think it's a bit too conspiratorial to say José is manipulating our board - as if they weren't capable of making decisions themselves. They could always veto any name Mourinho suggests for whatever reason. Maybe José convinced them, but I'm not sure what Mendes wins with it - another flop season in English football is worse than an average season at good for nothing Ligue 1. In terms of exposition, if he has a better season than last, it works favorably for him, and it's easier to have a better season at France than England. We shouldn't get him, I hope Remy doesn't leave regardless of this situation, but I'm not sure if José has got all that power in this situation. I don't think that's how things have been working in the club lately.
  6. It's a known fact di Maria played in midfield in Carlo's first season, not as winger or AM
  7. Because in that position we have Cesc and Cesc >>>>>>>>>>>> Willian in anything that isn't physical related.
  8. I wouldn't say he's better than Willian in attack just a better end product, but then again who doesn't have a better end product than Willian?
  9. I don't like this arm covered tattoos. It's a trendy thing. I'm not saying the tattoo itself is horrible, but I don't like them. I like different kinds of tattoos and also in other spots. Becks had them then every other football player has to have it. It's almost they lack personality or creativity
  10. can't stand that little piece of shit. He's always cheating
  11. my goodness. Even Messi has a tacky tattoo nowadays? I see those haircuts (if you can even call them that), those tattoos... and I wonder where their brains go. Edit: Iniesta >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>. Xavi
  12. I have seen few players with more class to play than Pirlo... it's amazing to watch him and a pleasure. Iniesta is also awesome - despite his Barça identity
  13. As I said earlier... Marchisio Moratita too
  14. the early goal killed them and left them lost and nervy... hope they can pull a RM from last season. Difference is, they don't seem to have the attack answer...
  15. Marchisio The only thing worth watching in this match. Can't stand Barça and while I don't exactly hate Juve (I like them to a small, small, small stretch) they're still losing this. Pogba has been okay, Vidal a nightmare. Finals aren't the most ideal places to judge players and I don't do it, but they could have both played better. Pirlo has been played out of the match and Barcelona attack is (unfortunately) a joy to watch. Bleh... I'll stick to only appreciating the most beautiful man ever born to earth.

  17. That's what I remember too... his loan there would last two seasons... anyway, even if that's the case and we feel the need to have him, loaners can always call their loanees back... I do think we'll be signing a couple more AMs though...
  18. Didn't know he had any market in Malaysia... I've barely checked the news recently
  19. why is he with the team if he's injured? I mean, he's missing Copa America (thank God for that) because he wouldn't have enough time to recover for the tournament that was weeks away from when he got injured and is a couple of weeks away from now, but he travels with the team to a pointless friendly across the world? I don't understand what is this logic. He's there to offer moral support and pictures proving that Diego Costa used Oscar's age to make an average and convince the world he's 26?

  21. It was supposed to be a lighthearted speech in an internal event. You guys take things too seriously... including an also lighthearted comment about how Jon Snow knows nothing. You're the one who took it personally. As said if you think it was unnecessary to defend the players, good for you. He didn't did it for you, he did for them and I'm sure they appreciated . As you said it was a Chelsea night and the audience was laughing their arses off during it all. I think it only added to their celebration
  22. Some people here don't have 1) sense of humor 2) don't know how it must have felt for the players to feel like they weren't respected the way they deserved for RUNNING away with the title since the league started. Everyone PRETENDED to forget the football we played for five months and started saying crap about us as a team. Mourinho will ALWAYS defend his players. I understand the bitter and haters having a field day with something that although hilarious, is also true, what I don't get is the stick he gets from his own fans... If you feel someone didn't need to come up and defend us, good for you, but I think the players are even prouder and grateful for having him as their manager now than they were before. Some of you guys just watch too much of your fave Game of Thrones Jon Snow... it's getting to your mind
