True, but we can't ever overlook how Mata had a whole team built around him when he reached those highs (imo reason why he was never able to be as effective at Utd), something not even Eden had under Mourinho - let alone Oscar. Mata is a better 10 than Oscar, I agree, but in effective terms, it isn't to the extent people believe as they often disregard he had a free role here and that makes a huge difference. For Mata to be very effective he needs to have a whole team gravitating around him, free reign to only do his thing and he depends a lot on what others are doing around him. Different problems, but he has the same setup limitations Cesc has. A very ideal setup needs to be in place for him to really flourish, otherwise his slowness to move, extended time he needs to get things done and lack of physicality are easily exposed. I didn't even mention the inability to do any defensive work - as I know for many here, a true #10 shouldn't have any obligations of the sort, something modern football seems to disagree vehemently, but still.

I have very good memories of him and I think it was by far the best call to be the interim. My question is how good have been his recent work? I didn't follow the Euro qualifiers, but to fail to qualify the Netherlands that finished 3rd in the WC last year seems a little underwhelming, but as I said, I didn't follow, don't even know who were in their group, so can you guys enlighten me in his 2 or 3 last works?

I had given up on him for real this season. I really truly believed if he had proper rest he'd be more consistent. I was fairly mistaken. Many players will have the chance to prove themselves under a new manager now, let's see how it goes. I wouldn't sell any player now based on how they've been performing, but I wouldn't mind at all to see the buggers who didn't bother to say goodbye. So I'm not against his departure, just for a completely different reason.

hi there, honey I've been busy. Well, let's just hope everything works out for the best. Bad work environment is really difficult to overcome

good to know... I was afraid for a moment. But I think I made myself clear I don't think anything I said is a fact (never is) just my opinion. Everyone will have an opinion about what happened. None could be right. We should just leave all this shit behind and move on. Mourinho is definitely responsible for some of the shit we are in, the name of the club in all kind of controversy. So at least let's move to hopefully some drama free months. It might be refreshing, but I'm still mad and disappointed at the players' behavior.

all valid points, all points they are certainly willing to throw out of the window if they can go back to winning ways. They need to start winning again and nothing better than a manager who is a winner and won't last too long anyway. When they regain their aura, they can look for someone like you described. I have no doubts he'll go to Manchester and if that's the case, they'll win again. I just preferred if he went to Madrid instead.
-
I don't remember seeing anyone mad on players for playing well, but for showing attitude and will like they haven't in the last months. It's like now they decided to play. Nobody is complaining the team did well, so I don't get your post.

Glad you caught it on my member title. A smart one, you are.

I didn't mean people relived he left, but people who are already spreading their opinions of how his supposed reign in United will be.

so let's not have a forum, merely a space where the mods post facts and others read. This statement is one of the dumbest and most ignorant things I've read in all my life. If we aren't supposed to have opinions about facts, let's just be machines and/or vegetate. I didn't even bother to read the rest because I certainly need time to process someone actually wrote such a statement. I mean, the government does some thing, I shouldn't have an opinion; war erupts, I shouldn't have an opinion, attacks like Paris happen, I shouldn't have an opinion. One friend betrayals or honors me, I shouldn't have any opinion. I mean, seriously, can you even realize what a stupid thing you've said? Oh, btw, that's just my opinion about your statement.

I think longevity in football is a rare item that is fated to complete extinction - had the same opinion when Mou arrived but I expected him to be here for 5 seasons. Does he seem to have problems with managing a team beyond three seasons? It does seem the case, it seems like he burns too many bridges while building others. he's a winner and his resume speaks for itself. Despite what many will say here, he won a lot, in a short period of time and although those trophies have been diminishing in numbers the last few years compared to his best years, that's also a life circle. So in times were long-term management seems more and more unlikely, I don't know why people are so bitter about it and are already ranting about him only lasting a couple of season whether that is at United or Madrid. Well, that's enough for today's realities. The only guy I thought could last over a decade on a team because of their identification, not only with the person, but with his style was Pep at Barcelona. The moment he asked out I knew stories like Fergie's and now the ongoing Wenger's were going to be past stories to count. Mourinho should learn from his mistakes - starting by acknowledging he makes them, instead of blaming everyone and their mothers - and reflect about how he manages the relationships. Leaving a job after 2-3 years is normal and even okay these days. The thing with Mourinho is the pattern of how he's been leaving and the common denominator is alienating relationships.

no, I'm basing my opinion - never said it was a fact - on what they delivered in the pitch in terms of attitude. Those I mentioned (alongside JT) have been constant throughout the whole season. Cesc didn't show anything else today, had supported José publicly many times and had never showed anything in the pitch that showed me otherwise. I could be wrong, but there's one imo at the end, so maybe you don't know what that means in more ways than one. I haven't read ONE PIECE of press about Chelsea in weeks as it was my year closing and I had no time for that. I knew of Mourinho's sacking HOURS after it happened, so I have no idea what the media is saying about it. I'm talking about opinion. I have mine, you have yours, both as such aren't supposed to be accurate, just to reflect one's thoughts.
-
but that's the point. Can you trust those players to do anything for Chelsea FC and not themselves? They don't have my respect, my support and not even my faith. If they were good enough like DD, Lamps, JT were when they got Scolari out, I'd give them a second thought. But not only it just proved they don't give a rat ass about Chelsea, but also something we know for ages, most of them aren't world class players. So they will do their thing, screw Chelsea over, but now that they finally got what they wanted, they won't be good enough to put us back where we - as a club - deserve to be. They need to be gone as much as José needed. I don't care about a run, winning, or whatever because 1) they aren't good enough to win anything; 2) their investment and will to honor Chelsea's shirt is nonexistent. Of course, it doesn't include all players - and unlike the rest of the world, I think Cesc has nothing to do with what happened to José. Others like Willian and Azpili also have nothing to do with it. The rest of them, are heavily labeled as fuckers in my book or at least doubtful. It's a shame, and I hope we get rid of them soon enough. I have literally 0 hopes of winning anything with those buggers.
-
I don't believe he had any part in this movement to force José out. He been trying, and today he did again. He just continues to be completely out of form. One of the few players that showed today what he's been showing for months...
-
never said he was... but players were refusing to play. I did some analysis. We played the same we did with Mourinho in charge. The difference? We didn't have a load of incomplete passes, players barely trying. The positioning, movement was barely improved - also a reflection of attitude if you ask me. I wanted Mourinho to leave at the end of the season, he needs to seriously reinvent his tactics and while he's at it, to learn how to manage his relationships with everyone, not only the ones that love him. I believe his feud with Eva created an environment that was toxic, players already have a hard time with him criticizing them to the press, so in the end he created this and was the main root to his dismissal. It doesn't change the fact those very well paid players couldn't give a fuck about Chelsea FC as long as they had Mourinho out. Maybe it's utopia on my part, but I want my players to honor the shirt they put on. If you're in denial about their attitude there today, then it's up to you. It's as clear as midday sun imo...

He - alongside with Willian, Azpili, JT - had been one of the few players to receive support from the crowd. The only sub that wasn't booed. The crowd - that represents my feelings to a tee - made a mistake here. Clearly he also had problems with Mourinho and refused to play to his capability. And that's the problem I have with this assemble of players we currently have. They have nothing on JT, Lamps, DD that a few years did the same to Scolari - Scolari who had nothing on Mourinho either. It's a shame how this team completely changed its attitude now. They don't have my support - although I appreciate the win and I don't mind Riddink. It's just that it shows their character and I don't think we can win anything with those buggers. Oscar had one of his best matches playing for us - and that says more about how average he's been, than exactly his quality there today - which was undeniable. I just can't brush off my disappointment with how the players behaved. It looks like if Roman didn't act, they'd have the team relegated without a second thought. Shameful.

Offended I'm not in the cheerleader team even after my bunny dance. Also you have a doctor position vacant - which my bunny dance also prove my credentials. I swear I know if I should to get in the pitch after both the players and the officials asked my presence. I also can drive a bus - or a sports car, something my bunny dance should have also proved. Thought you had some consideration for me

set the world alright again today I suppose? I haven't watched and as there not one single comment on this thread I can't say. Since now it seems ridiculous to compare Hazard and Neymar, I wonder when will the comparisons between Neymar and de Bruyne will start. People already say he's a top 5 in the world. So I suppose behind MSN and Ronaldo, Kevin is next one? Or is he better than Ronaldo? (It's really hard to argue against MSN).

Arsenal never fail on delivering. Talk about consistency. I would say 'Never change', but it's not like they could even if they tried. Come on, Arses, keep it up! edit: if we had our shit together, we could clearly take advantage of all those ups and downs all teams up there have. With 42 points played, the top teams have all lost 13 points, which means a bit over one third of the season have already been played and the best teams didn't win even 70% of the points - which is nothing like the other big leagues. Then it poses a question: is the competitiveness of the league a consequence of this, or the big teams aren't that competitive anymore and are allowing the smaller to achieve more than they would? I like a competitive league, but I prefer quality over competitiveness. I don't know what's going on in England right now. I can't point what is the cause and what is the consequence in this scenario.

my commentator said Mourinho didn't sub Diego in to rile him up and provoke him. When will TVs provide an option to listen to the stadium's atmosphere but have no commentating. I'm willing to pay more for it in my prescription just to get rid of shittery
-
goshery fuck
-
said it in the first, will repeat it again. If Willian and Hazard had been on their best, we'd be leading the score. They've been failing where they shouldn't, even though they aren't bad per say
-
why didn't Azpili just break the ball and let it go in a throw in by the box? Stupid decision. He had like 2-3 seconds doing ball watching instead of dispatching it.
-
Oscar's was more difficult imo and as precise...
-
my commentator said that Tottenham has been the best team in the first half... am I too blind by my tinted glasses or did we really balance things out in the last 25 minutes or so? I thought things were very equal in this period
