  1. I'm a nice, fairly young lady and even hot if I forget any modesty... I'm no cat lady. Unless the kitten is you I'd eat you for breakfast though and I guess you wouldn't complain.
  2. Angelina Jolie and Blake Lively. I'd change teams for either of them Seriously speaking (as serious as having a crush can be anyway) I think my latest crush was Joseph Morgan... last year. I don't have a current one I suppose, but I've had many throughout my whole life, regardless of my age. Brad Pitt, Jon Bon Jovi, Ian Somerhalder, etc... My biggest crush though was for Fernando Gonzalez - a Chilean tennis player during my mid-20s. I used to call him my alternate universe husband
  3. I think Portugal may have problems to get passed the group phase if Ronaldo doesn't recover quickly as USA can challenge them for the second place. If Cris is fit though, I think they'll qualify 2nd in their group and will probably play Belgium. Then I really don't know who would pass. Germany.
  4. The staff member is a fair tie between you and Lex. Love you both, but Jason is definitely my least favorite one by a fair lead I just love Peace.'s posts and I really wished he posted more, he's an amazing poster with a great view of the sport (as most French guys) and such a nice person. I also love The Skipper, The only place to be posts. One is very analytical and levelheaded, with opinions I agree with most of time and always very polite and while it bothers some that the other is very attached to English players, England style and stuff, I think it's endearing and he should indeed be proud and love his country and country mates. Also I think he speaks a lot of sense. You're definitely the nicest of them all, Chou. By a fair lead too. But I really like most of you guys. If I could mention all the names I would take the time. There are very few obnoxious people around here imo or people I don't have much affinity with.
  5. I haven't realized it was my join date anniversary Thanks on both instances
  6. I'm very talkative in person and a writer... so it's unavoidable. But look this answer only took me 20 words!
  7. Accept my opinion more because I'm a girl? I'm used to having the opposite issue: having my opinion disregarded because I'm a woman, but that happens on Brazilian forums, not here. I think some may have a soft spot for me, but even those disagree with me from time to time, so I don't think me being a girl plays out positively for them to accept my opinions about football. I try to be nice to everyone, I try to respect everyone (even though sometimes I use my metaphorical French when I'm mad about a situation, normally involving the club or the players, rarely the members and their opinions, unless they're too nonsensical) and I'm a girl among literally hundreds of men, so of course I think it's only natural some of them, or many of them, look me at with good eyes in general, after all, even in an internet forum, too much testosterone must become just that, too much and a bit of estrogen might be welcome even if for the sake of it. But I guess most just treat me equally. Calling me on my BS when I'm the one speaking nonsense and supporting me when I make sense. At least I hope so.
  8. Fluently, three - English, Spanish and my mother language, Portuguese. I understand French well, but I haven't spoken it in years, so I can't even say I'm rusty. I understand a bit of Catalan too.
  9. I'm a Brazilian... I want my players to do more than simply run all day and defend well. They don't need to necessarily have flair, but they need to have quality. I'm willing to bet one of my limbs Ramires will never even come close to have those stats in his Chelsea career in the future. And I do hope he becomes a bench warmer... although I doubt it'll happen. Mourinho does like him.
  10. and what is non-sexy? There are Chelsea fans on my Twitter that have known me before he was signed and who I've had long convos about my dislike for him. I expect a DM to defend well, a CM to do both defensive work and transition and build up play well. He's a good tackler, but he's a terrible passer... and he isn't very smart when he has the ball and he has the odd day where he elbows the opponent and gets himself a 6-match ban. There's no scapegoat situation because nobody is blaming him for anything we didn't attain this season, we're just calling for an upgrade. Anyone who doesn't want an upgrade from Ramires has questionable taste/view imo, although it's their entitled right to like him... It doesn't even take much to improve from him... I don't need us to sell him, just for him to have the same role in the team Mikel had this season...
  11. No, I've always thought he was poor with the good season being the exception. Sorry, mate, never been a fan and I don't think I'll ever be... Just look this: http://www.squawka.com/comparison-matrix#la_liga/2013/2014/francesc_f%C3%A1bregas/69/69/306/0/p|premier_league/2013/2014/ramires/64/64/443/0/p|premier_league/2013/2014/david_luiz/64/64/448/0/p|premier_league/2013/2014/frank_lampard/64/64/431/0/p|premier_league/2013/2014/john_obi_mikel/64/64/434/0/p#successful_passes/avg_pass_length/chances_created/clearances#90 Which I found in that Squawka article someone posted. How can we have a player whose average of successful passes is below 40. That's unacceptable imo even for a player in the pivot. He's a B2B, he can't pass so little. A DM yes, but a B2B no.
  12. I think saying 'deserve' to wear Chelsea's shirt is a bit of a stretch, but he isn't up the level a team of our caliber needs. He's a great athlete, but a poor footballer. He can't pick passes, his football IQ is really low, sometimes he loses his mind out of nowhere although he does give his best every match. Sorry if I think a team like us - and with our ambitions - deserve a better footballer than Ramires. We deserve better and we should have better. I would word it like that instead of him not deserving to wear our shirt, but yeah, I tend to agree we're better than Ramires.
  13. His daughter was rumored to have been born today, I heard people saying on street today (just saw the official news and damn him... if I had a daughter the first name in my mind would be Júlia, which is the name he chose, as if I needed more reason to love the boy. Congrats to him and Ludmila, his wife)
  14. Mourinho I'm not a big fan of Carlo as a manager. I think he's an endearing person, I like his persona a lot, but as a football manager, Mourinho every day of the week.
  15. I don't watch much TV and don't go to the movies often, but that's because I grew out if the habit as I love watching good movies and some romcom. Angelina Jolie, Robert Redford, Al Pacino, Robert de Niro, Sean Connery, Denzel Washington, Keanu Reeves among others. In Portuguese there's a saying: eating and praying all you need is start. That's true imo
  16. listen to music, pray, read or sleep
  17. also cemented is different from finishing 2nd once. Cemented is when it's done a few times, at least imo. Liverpool finished second with the best striker(s) in the league when they had to play no Europe. I'm positive they'll alternate between UCL footie and only domestic footie the next couple of years. The current UCL will prevent them from reaching the next one.
  18. I think there's a good chance things will happen... but guys, we shouldn't take Torres and Azpili words as an indication of it. They're both spanish, as well as Cesc, they play for Chelsea, so with all the rumors going on, it's obvious that when the media have a chance to speak to them, they'll ask about the Cesc deal and of course they'll have to answer with something and the obvious answer is to compliment Cesc. The same goes to Mourinho, of course he's going to be asked about targets or names we've been heavily linked to, I have no doubts, but he didn't need to answer like that. If he wanted, he could say what he said earlier the season: 'We won't look to any players before the WC' instead he said he's analyzing it. And his quote about the 'after the WC' I'd take with a grain of salt. One of two things: Either Chelsea will close the deals now, and announce them after then, only because or Mourinho is lying. I don't believe the general things he says during the transfer windows. 'We'll only sign after the WC' 'we only have 2-3 targets' 'I don't believe it'll be a very busy transfer window for Chelsea this summer' etc... all quotes he said before the season ended... actually I believe the opposite, price tags can inflate a lot after it, but for proved players, in their peak, it rarely deflate their fee considerably. WC can only affect a player positively when it comes to price. Some players just don't deliver in their NTs, but do wonderfully well in clubs. So if a player goes to the WC and doesn't play as good as he did in the club, his market value won't be much affected. If it's the opposite, it'll inflate his price, so the best time to do is prior to the WC. Also, a player like Cesc - who isn't a youngster and who still is on his best years - won't become unproved because of a WC... or because of an injury unless it's a very, very serious injury. Players normally come back from most injuries a few months later and this is a 5 year deal, a few months is nothing in the big picture. We aren't signing him like we did with Eto'o or like we renewed with Lamps last year and Terry this year - for only one year and see what happens when the year is done. We're signing him for a few seasons... so unless he breaks his leg, I think an injury wouldn't mean much and in that case Barça would probably hold off the deal to the winter window... it's always best to do deals with proved players prior to the WC imo.
  19. I can't answer for everyone else. I'm sure many, many, many Brazilians don't even know it exists (and that has nothing to do with Austria, but with the social differences I talked earlier, that leads many of us not to go to school). For me, the Alps for sure.
  20. Nope, I've watched plenty of it after he died. I watched all of Schumacher's titles, even though all of them were post-Senna's death (although I'd be considered a 'hater' of his, I always cheered against him). It just became boring in the mid 2000's and it's still boring. I do support Jenson Button though - who's my fave pilot ever after Senna himself. Don't know why I love the guy so much, but I do. Again, chemistry
  21. A couple more questions, if I may: First, I remember you once said you'd like to visit the middle east, do you still like to and why? (PS: I'll make you stuffed vine leafs if you come to Lebanon ) Second, and I realize this is very personal (and none of my business), but I'm just curious to know, so please don't feel compelled to answer unless you want to: Would you marry someone who does not share your religious beliefs? Is the answer the same for people from other religions and for atheists? I'm going with my fave system: 4-3-3 and I don't mean those are the very best in their position, but they're my fave in their position, my team should have my faves Goalkeeper: Manuel Neuer Defense: Philipp Lahm, Leighton Baines, Thiago Silva and Kompany. Midfield: Xabi Alonso, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Luka Modric Strikers: Arjen Robben, Cristiano Ronaldo, Luis Suarez (which means I have no CAM, lol), but I can't imagine how frigging perfect would be Robben and Cris coming from the wings and Suarez receiving their assists (basically from Arjen, as Cris doesn't pass much, lol) That was done at the top of my mind, I didn't do research, so I'd probably change it a bit if I'd researched the NT's teams, but I'm lazy. OMG, you give me plenty of vine leafs thing and the answer to the follow up question is yes I'd love to visit it because it fascinates me (although I'm not one of those people who love to travel, I love staying in my house, though I love taking the road in my car and just drive away, but that has nothing to do with the destination, it's all about simply driving watching the scenery and landscapes). Everything is so different and I read a lot about the region in the bible (the vegetation, the geography and all that stuff) so I'd love to see those places in person, all of it, not only Israel. Also Arabic people happen to be the people I get along the best as far as the internet goes, so I think I'd love meeting the people as well. No, I wouldn't and that's not too personal to answer. I wouldn't not because of their beliefs, as I answered in a previous question I respect a lot people from other religions and their own beliefs. I wouldn't for practical reasons (remember I'm very rational). Sometimes my faith is how I decide huge things in my life. I have a personal relationship with God and ask for directions and I feel Him answering to me. I've moved 500km away from my hometown, to a new town where I knew literally no one, got all my personal belongings, didn't even had a place to spend the first night, didn't have a job simply because I felt like God told me to. That was 10 years ago and the best decision I've made in my life and one I would have never made if God hasn't talked to me because every time someone used to ask me if I'd like to move away from my city the answer was always 'no'. Now suppose that happens again and I'm married to someone who doesn't even believe in God. Do you think they'd agree? Would they even consider it? Maybe yes, maybe no, but it'd be difficult. I want to have kids, I would like to raise them with the same beliefs as me (though once they're old enough they're of course, entitled to choose whatever they believe), how come could I do it with someone that believes differently or doesn't believe at all? Maybe we could show both sides for them, but they'd be confused. So it's not about sharing the same religion, but about the practicals aspects of it as I'm very connected to God myself. If I were one of those people who are religious but in a superficial degree, I probably wouldn't have those problems, but that's not the case. I take God and my beliefs very seriously (but I don't take religion seriously, if you can say the difference). Marriage as already a difficult relationship, if you add more conflicts to the already natural ones, you're begging for the problems to take over and I wouldn't rationally do something like that. It's a rational decision rather than a religious decision. I would never ask someone to convert to my religion just so we marry. It's not about religion, but about how much God influences your life decisions. One's religion is very personal and I'd rather marry someone with the same views as me (which sometimes it's hard to find even in the same religion) than ask someone to share the same views. I'd never ask that at all, I'd rather give up the relationship altogether. I don't believe in people changing people about anything. If I want to be with you, I have to accept you as you are because I want to be accepted as I am as well. And that goes from how you press the pasta tube (from the middle or from the end) to your spiritual beliefs. Without respect a relationship is faded to end and not respecting a person as they are is the main reason why I think people get married to the wrong people and later divorce.
  22. I already answered some of those in the questions above, but I don't mind answering them again as well as the new ones I'm fine thanks, I'm 34 and I'm 1.71cm tall which Google tells me is 5'7" in American measurement (maybe somewhere else) and I'm a kindergarten teacher and sports writer for Chelsea Brasil. Currently I follow NBA and tennis. I used to follow F1 in the 90's, not anymore though. I think it's a very good squad with a trustworthy manager. I think we have clear deficiencies - such as the striker position and creative players (it mostly relies on Neymar for both), but we have a great defense and a system that worked very well with those players and tactics, so I believe we have chances. I think we're second faves - only behind Germany (who also has striker issues imo).
  23. Pierce Brosnan only because he was the Bond I've watched the most movies. I think I've watched only one with the new guy whose name I forgot now. But I'm sure if I had a chance to have watched more with Sean Connery I would have said him as he's a hell of an actor, one of my faves. I liked Roger Moore too - saw a couple with him.
