  1. what are you talking about? We always - or most time - do deals very fast. Since when a week is too slow? I can't with that anxiety, lol
  2. I don't think they look alike at all... but I won't lie... I think Jenson is smoking hot too. But beauty has never played a part in the many sportsmen I love. Rafael Nadal isn't pretty at all and so wasn't Pete Sampras. Many footballers were my 'idols' in their generation or in their years, and they were a far from good looking actually (e.g. Schweinsteiger, Pirlo, Ronaldo (Brazilian), Baggio). Well, most of the people I hang out with do drink. Also I don't like night clubs, I love music and I like to dance. I love getting out and pubs are the best option, whether I drink or not. BUUUUUUUUT I finally found a beer I liked (loved actually). Of course it's a German beer. Also I sometimes go to a French cafe here that serves only Champagne and I'm love champagne.
  3. I'm not so sure about Romelu to be honest. While I'm dead set convinced by Courtois, but not by Lukaku. I think being the #2 striker would do great for him, but I feel we needed a more skilled striker such as Eto'o to be #3 because it seems to me Costa and Lukaku are the same kind of strikers. If Lukaku leaves, then we MUST sign another striker, either rising or maybe someone leaving a big club, already in their best years, but not THE GUY, you know what I mean?
  4. Also the comparison makes no sense because what ruined Ganso's potential were his many injuries - serious injuries - not simply form or not delivering it... one case has absolutely NOTHING to do with the other even if Oscar proves to be a flop - which I think it's too early to say. I don't know where those guys get the ideas that they can already tell if a promising youngster will reach their full potential when they're still 22 based on an UP and DOWN season, as Oscar didn't have an entire bad season, only half of it. Also nobody seems to remember that Hazard had an anonymous start of season and then after his injury he never reached the highs he did from December-February. Also nobody mentions he's like that every single season. So is Hazard now the kind of player we can only count for 3-4 months a season? Because that's how he's operated since he's at Chelsea and not many label him like that. As they shouldn't because those are players still in their development years. Hazard is another level compared to Oscar, but both still had ups and downs during the season, but because Hazard's were in the beginning and then he faded after some outstanding months, people don't talk because their memory is short and in some cases, selective too. I could do a refresh and tell that the last goal Eden scored that wasn't from a penalty was in the first week of February... don't remember when it was his last assist, but certainly not much recently. Give the lads time to improve and they probably will.
  5. People might have understanding issues... that's the only explanation left. Mourinho HIMSELF in VIDEO said in his last press conference before the Norwich match that he was going to send in a report the following Monday with his opinions about the players we had both in the club, as well as the youth and the ones loaned out to the board, with his observations of what he thinks about those players - heavily implied about keeping them or not. He also said there would be some clinical signings to be done and it's obvious he will make some suggestions. That's how things work in every other club. Nobody makes decisions alone, if that wasn't obvious. I don't buy this BS that Roman signs this and that player. When have we ever had Roman even speaking to the media? Every blue moon he makes a comment - normally in the match program. So based on what media writes - as they please, citing whatever sources they want - they came up with this story 'The Roman signing'. Roman isn't a football specialist, isn't a manager, isn't the same guy new in the business he was 10 years ago. why would he sign players for us? He may have the final saying when a big fee comes around, it's his money after all, but I think that's why he has a trusting board of directors. He's made the changes he saw fit in the board and kept most of those people for a few years now. He probably trusts them. Now between the board and José, isn't it obvious that they talk? José makes some suggestions, they board sees the viability of them. The board or José are offered a player, they talk between each other and see if the player suits the CLUB'S plans (not the board's or José, but the club's). José doesn't make any decision alone and I really doubt the board has the freedom to sign a player José doesn't want. José may not love the player, but he has to approve him as well as the board has to agree with his suggestions. I think it's only in some people's head that they shove things down Mourinho's throat. I think it's undeniable Mourinho had nearly a free reign at Inter and there isn't much Perez isn't willing to sign to Madrid and he's more limited here because we have a better structure and hopefully learned from our past mistakes, but it's a stretch to think that just because he hasn't got all the power that the board (let alone Roman himself!) completely ignores him. He's the one who makes the calls about the players playing. It's foolish to sign a player he doesn't approve because at the end of the day he's the one who will make that player get in matches or not. And Mourinho would never accept someone other than him to pick the players for our matches. The statement towards the Liverpool match wasn't about this or that player, but clearly giving up on the Premier League for UCL. Even then, he brought a competitive team (we do have a good squad, that can be definitely improved, but good nonetheless) and won the match. It's not like Chelsea don't have a good bench. It's just that in times of FM and fantasy football for some you have to have a bench as strong as your starting XI in every single position. I really feel for being the bearer of such heartbreaking news to a few of you, but in the real world that's not how it works, it simply doesn't exist.
  6. yeah... seeing how much Mou used Cole is a testament to that... Lamps was more used, but that was only because imo the alternative was bad. I think Mou respects and really likes a lot both of them, but he seems to be fairly aware that they're past their best years and that we need players in their best and who will approach their best in a couple of seasons, not the opposite.
  7. From football love. I love football since I was a little girl (literally, my first experience with the sport was at age 3 with Brazil's 82 NT) and I've always enjoyed watching it. So much that only the national leagues weren't enough so about age 8 or something I've started watching Calcio, then a few years later La Liga. I don't remember associating my preferences for Inter or Real Madrid to any player - it's been a long, long, while, but Chelsea is a recent love, only 10 years ago or so. I started to watch the Premier League to see what it was about. It was love at first sight. I really love it and I loved it back then. And as much as it many sound shallow for some, I can't follow a league so closely and be so emotionally involved with it without a club to support, so I took some time seeing which club would conquer my heart. At the end it was between Chelsea and Liverpool... but the blue color really attracted me (it's not a color I like much, but there were way too many red teams imo), and the badge was also my fave and then Stamford Bridge was also so different from the rest. So it was a sum of things, but not one specific thing. I don't know to this day if I chose Chelsea or if Chelsea chose me.
  8. thanks for filling me up in the gossip world, Chou. Now that's unexpected - who she is, not you gossiping
  9. 1. I'm not a quote kind of person. I like a lot of them, but I don't have favorites or quotes that I identify with or that sum me up. I go by the idea of things, not memorized sentences. It comes to mind though one by C. S. Lewis "Humility is not thinking less of yourself, it's thinking of yourself less" I absolutely love it. 2. 2014 has been pretty good after a couple of gloomy years, and also there's no time like the present (I live by it, I rarely look to the past and I'm very wary of trying to tell anything of the future), so I'd say 2014. 3. That's a difficult question to answer (as the previous two were)... Probably the day I became a Christian. 4. London. I have no wish to even visit Madrid (maybe except for the Bernabeu) let alone live there... I feel a great connection with everything I know from England and I have a lot of british people around me here in Brazil and I think I'd be great there. The only places I see myself living are Canada and Norway. 5. I don't like ice-cream in general, but I can't resist a good Haagen Dazs especially if the flavor is strawberry. PS.: I miss you dearly. A lot, lot, lot. Really miss you and wish we could talk again soon. Take care, love. Chou asked me who are the nicest posters around and whose posts I like the most and I answered honestly. If he had asked me who's the person - not simply a poster - I like the most, that would be you. Always.
  10. I doubt he's for sale and I don't see why big clubs would want to sign him in all honesty. So I don't buy this Metro BS, even if it was reported by Marca too. Marca is as far as reliable as DM...
  11. what's their yearly profit anyway? Arsene just doesn't spend money at all...
  12. They normally fluke... unless it's against Brazil, then they become their best, I don't rate them yet. I don't know how this team will handle the pressure. WC can't be compared to Confed Cup. As far as I'm aware (which I'm not entirely, Rapha could confirm or say otherwise) there was no pressure for the CC.
  13. You guys caught the pattern? It's all written in the stars... with initials. Diego Costa Cesc Fabregas Filipe Luis. Luke Shaw. I'd be done if it happens, although I think it's unlikely for us to sign Shaw and I think us signing two key players from Atletico might also not happen. It's the same with all speculations of PSG buying so many players from us. But it may be written somewhere
  14. I think they're the favorites, not only my favorites. I don't fancy Argentina, and they're unpredictable, always losing to the one team you wouldn't expect, Brazil is struggling, Spain isn't in the peak anymore, Belgium I don't think can reach the final, Netherlands are also in the down side of their peak... Italy? Maybe, but I'm not quite so sure... To be honest, I don't feel like any NT is arriving to this WC at their best form compared to how they were from 2011 until now. But then everything chances in the WC. I think the most likely to win in order are 1) Germany 2) Brazil 3) Italy 4) Argentina The one thing that should be noted about Brazil is that this current team grows directly proportional to the high of what's at stake. Expect them to start the WC tentative and even struggling, and then to grow as the tournament advances. There's this determination in that squad somehow and I don't know if it comes from them or from Felipão.
  15. 1. 1990. I really cheered that year, watched most matches and as I was already 10, I can remember most of it. A boy at my school - a few years older than me - said that he thought Germany would win it and when they did I was mesmerized with someone that could predict that sort of thing. lol, the world in a 10yo mind is so cute 2. Haven't been to anywhere in Europe actually 3. I don't play them, but I don't mind them. It requires more motor coordination than I actually have, lol. I like the RPG style though and when I gave my ex-husband a PS3 just after its release a few years ago, I bought the whole Lego collection for me to play (Batman, Star Wars, etc). It was the only thing I had enough coordination to play
  16. I dream about us switching back to 4-3-3 regardless of Fabregas... I think it suits out players much better and I think with the right attackers it can be as offensive as the 4-2-3-1. 4-3-3 gives us more stability in my opinion and with players such as Hazard and Schürrle, Willian and Salah better adapted and a good striker coming, I really see no reason to play 4-2-3-1. I'm not a big fan of 4-2-3-1 in the first place, except for a few systems and with some kind of players, which I don't think it's ours and we don't have the right people for it. Only thinking that for a moment, if things work out in the pitch that Oscar and Fabregas could be resemble Lamps and Ballack, it already makes me undone.
  17. As much as it hurts to say me, because I feel like dismissing a big legend, who I feel could still give us a lot; Thibaut.
  18. In real life, not much. It's in Brazilian forums that life is harder for a girl enjoying the sport (because there are a lot of very brave guys hiding behind a computer screen). In real life people just thought it was different, but didn't dismiss me. I have a lot of real life friends I talk about footie and I'm one of them, there's no mention about my gender.
  19. 1) Campinas, Sao Paulo 2) Nope 3) I don't think so, except places in Brazil 4) Metal? I don't think so. My fave bands of classic rock are Iron Maiden, Metallica, Rolling Stones, Foo Fighters, Led Zeppelin, . Different styles of rock I like Oasis, Nirvana, Green Day, The Offspring, Blur, Coldplay, Creed, Pearl Jam, Creedence, Clearwater, Pink Floyd, The Who, Radiohead, a bit of Queen. 5) Hot, friendly, beautiful, corrupted, great 6) Eating rice and beans every day. Most brazilians do that and we eat a lot of fresh meat as well. Also coffee (strong coffee, not the watered version we have in the US). 7) I love how friendly and carefree people are here. Really nice people. I hate the current music in general, although you can find something good here and there, but what's popular here nowadays is unbearable. 8) Pete Sampras. His volley. Steffi Graf. What's there not to like? 9) Ernest Gulbis, Tomas Berdych, Ana Ivanovic - all of which who have ups and downs in their careers. Old school: Fernando Gonzalez - the most amazing FH ever 10) Rafa, Nole, Mandy 11) Currently? No one. Stan is a fluke imo, Roger won't come back to his best, Mandy doesn't seem that much interested anymore, it seems like his big dream came true with Wimbly and he became a bit detached or less focused, can't say. Grigor Dimitrov has a lot of potential among the youngest now. 12) I used to play much better than I currently do, but I hold myself against girls and against not so great boys too Thanks for asking, I definitely had fun answering
  20. the effect is the same... you think you know, or you want to know, but at the end of the day, only I know. That's too cute, Jay
  21. Leave the alarm going through snooze for 20 minutes, buzzing every 5 minutes Stand up, stretch my body, go to the bathroom. If I'm not late and it's not too cold, I take a shower, if I'm late or just on time, I just brush my teeth, brush my hair, go back to the bedroom, put clothes on, shoes on, and then leave to work. Normally at this time of the year I rather take showers before going to bed. I'm too slow in the morning, for me to take a shower normally I'd take 15 minutes, early in the morning I'd take 25 at least and I'd rather sleep those minutes through snooze mode in the alarm, hahahaha. On the weekends I wake up and stay in bed for as long as I can, sometimes sleeping again, sometimes just enjoying the comforting warmth of my blankets (now in the fall)
  22. I'm lying in my bed while in this hot seat. Then again I spend most time in bed anyway Belgium is my second in the cheering order (Germany being the first) I won't miss Luiz at all. Love the geezer, but I support our players while they're here. He isn't one of them anymore, so good luck for him, but I hope PSG keep sucking in UCL, more and more actually. Luiz was never a player I was emotionally attached. The only players in our squad I had an emotional connection with were Lamps and Terry. One got a new contract, the other is leaving. Everyone else I may miss as a footballer or their persona, but I'm over it the moment the news are up.
  23. Because I have no patience with moderating people. When I was 19-20 I used to moderate a channel in the extinct mIRC and gosh it was a lot of work. I'd have to dedicate time and stretch my thinning patience, and I'm not willing to do either tbh. I've said beforehand though that I wouldn't apply when someone suggested my name some time ago... I do admire you guys for the tons of effort, commitment and work you put here to keep this amazing place running. I'd rather give money - which I haven't last month, but will this one. It's a contribution that fits better my mood these days You should know I'm 100% honest, sweetie, you know I love you you're one of the nicest people I've ever come across in the internet.
