Great first half the match was really won within the first 10 minutes of the game. I reckon Jose told the boys at half time to take it easy the second half as we have a game Wednesday. It may not be the most attractive, but it the long term it'll definitely be the most effective.

I see where you're coming from and appreciate what you're saying, but you only have to look as far as Oscar's pass against Japan through to Fred in the CC to see Oscar's ability to pick out a killer through ball. Combine that with his dribbling that we have all seen at Chelsea and we have a pretty good playmaker to say the least.

I agree, I wish we would have more defensive minded players in midfield or perhaps mould one of de bruyne or Oscar to do some defensive duties like scheinsteiger/alonso/cabaye who have learnt how

I agree with a lot of what you said apart from de bruyne/Oscar, van ginkel and essien to play against big sides. Surely lampard-Ramires would be best to play against big sides as they are experienced in big games and Ramires is a big game player no doubt. Also we would want the likes of de Bruyne Oscar etc against the sides who park the bus as they can split open the defence with their excellent through balls, a quality which Ramires doesn't posses. Ramires is best used in a counter attacking set up, which will probably be played against the big sides. Just my opinion I could be wrong

Please do not post Palmeri tweets in this forum time and time again we have been tormented by them. Also, I respect Jose's no-nonsense attitude regarding the whole casilias situation but let's be honest here; if we spend £35m on Rooney regardless of how well he plays he will start games the same reason Torres starts games, the price tag.
