  1. But if we get Falcao and he becomes a hit goal scoring wise then Lukaku will beccome a bit obselete until Falcao leaves (which may be for a few years), he is not going to wait that long to be Chelsea's main striker. If his first touch has not improved then I do fear for him. From what I have seen and the way he plays, his first touch and overall ability to control the ball wil prevent him (imo) of being able to performe at a top club trying to win trophies. I mean jut look at Trres and how everybody frwns apon the way he controls the ball, Lukaku will have the same issues.
  2. Didn't realise he is English, I will let him off for that one.
  3. Hmm... must hurt considering your lonely and simple childhood. Such as not knowing why that word is well known for.
  4. I could have calld him a lot worse. Calling him a plonker s the equivelant of giving him a quick and soft noogie on the head.
  5. Well he should look before typing after making idiotic posts.
  6. How is his first touch? I hope it has improved becuase during pre-season (and the chances he got last season) it was absolutly dreadful and I feel that will really be a dsiadvantage to him.
  7. Actually I have not seen anyone comment on how versatile he is. He can play in the holding midfield role, in a double pivot, as a centre midfielder, an attacking midfielder, playing off the striker. and he has even been deployed as a striker a couple of times (FA Cup final). And with his height and strength I bet he could be deployed as a makeshift centre back in extreme emergencies. So he could be worth the money if we don't see him as purely a defensive midfielder.
  8. But that envolves several causes, such as plying on reduce wages (I don't think Giggs was ever payerd over £120,000 or even £100,000) which I don't think he would accept, plus its easier to say then do and I think he has said that he wants to still be a focul point of the team for two or three years more, something that is not really possible. Edit: Here is the article http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/dec/13/chelsea-frank-lampard-free-agenthttp://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/dec/13/chelsea-frank-lampard-free-agent
  9. Awful in the first half, could not control the game, but Mata got an early second half goal, Leeds deflated and the quality of the three Am ran them over. Would not use them in that pivot against tougher opposition.
  10. I think I hear the pot calling the kettle black.
  11. Wow Jamie always an idiot, Lampard was nothing special except for a couple of shots that tested the keeper. Family ties eh
  12. An awful first half was remedy by an good second half where Leeds inferiority came through and collapsed. Hazard motm.
  13. MOTM Hazard... made such an impact when he came on.
  14. He has had a couple of hit and hope shots, but like on Sunday he is getting overun and can do nothing but just make runs to the box, hoping to get on to loose balls then contributing to the midfield. And get Hazard for Mata, has not been able to get into the game much.
  15. Lampard off for Savile, get someone who can anchor the midfield and allow Oscar to focus more on the game to flow.
  16. Why did neither Oscar or Lampard drop back when Luiz get forward. This is what happens when you don't have a DM in the pivot.
  17. Hopefully I'm wrong and that the Lampard-Oscar pivot will work wonders, but alas I think it will be even worse then the Corinthians games in terms of controlling the midfield.
  18. You can't treat them with kid gloves for ever.
  19. George Savile? At least that would be an acutal DM.
  20. We really should have bought him last season, where he would have cost way less and therefroe less pressure to performe.
  21. I say fuck it, give George Saville a go. Rather have someone who can anchor the midfield despite being a kid then having Oscar and Lampard, which could easily see the midfield go in a free fall.
  22. i think its the case that RDM and oher coaches did not like him in terms of attitude or what he brings to the team (ever since he came to the club there hae been the odd report that fellow players and coaches have taken him aside asking him to be more humble in training) and along with injuries has limited his time on the pitch. Not becuase of some conspiacy to keep Torres happy as some keep preaching about. I just don't see how his chances of being the main striker will improve at Liverpool
