4-4-1-1 Drogba/Anelka hanging back of Torres would be a good option as it could give him more room up-front and Drogba's lack of pace, that he has shown lately, wouldn't be an issue. Or otherwise, the 4-4-2 diamond is the most likeliest option.

Time for him to impress for when the summer comes and the likes of Drogba and Anelka may decide to retire, or step down from their role or even, the clubs decides to sell them.<br><br>Sturridge has a chance to get what he needs, maybe not with Chelsea, but still it is good that it is with a PL Club.

Due to the fact he is a World Cup Winner? And he is 26 and has double the amount of time both Drogba and Anelka have left, but with PL experience and is also one of the best strikers in the world on his day. Torres can only be as good as the players around him - like every striker in a team - and now, he has a team where he can benefit from the likes of Lampard and Malouda who feed the ball to the strikers.

Josh is 17, and his development has at least another two years, imo. McCarthy isn't a bad player and could be a bright spark. If we use him right, he could excell.

Surely if we offered them 50 million, they couldn't be able to negotiate to have Anelka aswell? I thought that was the whole point in having a minimum release in a contract? So the club can get a large amount of money that doubles the players valuation and the player able to discuss contract terms of buyer. So if we offer 50 million, then there is no Anelka plus, but if we offered Anelka with an extra 20-30 million, then that should, imo, match the amount in his contract.

Hope we can perform better in the next game with Sturridge playing instead of Anelka/Drogba. Drogba as the right winger would be more benefical and with having Sturridge as the striker we could make him into a goal machine!

Aneka is a yes for me, and maybe then we can play a 442 with strikers that can be beneficial to one another IF the midfeild is working.

We need a striker, and/or an attacking midfeilder, imo. Drogba has lost to much pace to be relied upon, Anelka goes to deep no matter what role he is given and we can't rely on Kalou because he is too inconsistent. It looks like Sturridge isn't going to be given the chances he deserves and so, we are stuck with the option of either Anelka/Drogba with the latter most likely to be chosen. Ideally i would prefer Drogba on the right wing, and Anelka in the striker's role. - Drogba has a decent cross, and has more skill then Anelka and i feel he could connect better with Bos or Ferreria then Anelka (like Malouda and Cole), Anelka is one of the deadliest finishers around, something which you cannot dispute but it is wasted on the wing. At least with Torres we would have someone with experience in the PL, has a brilliant shot and can make something out of nothing. But, without a creative spark to make our attack more meaningful, and no other options we have to rely on the same sytem with the same expectation. Something which hasn't been good enough for us lately, imo.
