Torres had a knee operation and probably came back too early for Liverpool. He then had to have another operation on the same knee and rushed back to get fit for the World Cup. He then tore his adductor in the final No where near as bad a Costa, he will be fine. Wasn't there rumor that we rushed Torres's medical and missed injuries he was still carrying?

League title

I was hoping Lampard, Terry, Cole could stay for one last season. If we won the league next season then it would be a great way for them to leave. MLS would take them all after that, I know Lamps has mentioned about playing in the States.

I don't see it changing them at all, they didn't even win comfortably. Wenger won't spend as usual and if we get Costa and Mandzukic they will struggle to get a striker. They will continue to have 1 game plan and play pretty football whilst getting battered by all the top teams. You can tell there is a hint of arrogance mixed with confidence in him, that's not a bad thing. Looks like Jose has told him that you earn the right to be regarded as one of the worlds best and he isn't there yet. Hard work and all that natural talent, he will be one of the worlds best. Like Mourinho said, he could have taken the easy option. He could have easily gone to PSG or Monaco and raked in a few more titles to add to his CV. He knew the task ahead when coming back here and knew it would take a season to adjust, hence why he downplayed our title chances early on. When will people realise there is no quick fix? It is going to take time to get Chelsea back to the very top of their game but, I think Jose is the best man for the job. We can't keep sacking managers because we went a season without a trophy. We have so many players that we probably won't need and it's all down to no long term manager being here. The fact that Roman let Jose sell Mata says it all for me, Jose is his man and is here for a long time. Would you rather us win the odd trophy and go through a manager per season? We will be left with players that don't fit managers style and left having the same conversations after every season.
