  1. Yes absolutely, Dalglish made him look like a mug tactically.
  2. Bosingwa has played well or have i missed something ?
  3. Torres has been absolute wank, he should of passed that ball to Drogba when he was through.
  4. I seem to remember him scoring in this fixture last season off the bench
  5. The thing is i don't know if they will complement each other, Sturridge and Torres are similar they both want to exploit space in behind the opposing box.
  6. Chelsea's version of Pato ! He is a young confident pacy finisher he is also ENGLISH !
  7. Take care, what could possible be more important then Chelsea lol hahaha only joking, i know what you are talking about. I think you are going to dedicate 8 hours of home study for your impending exams, am i right ?
  8. This is the FOOTBALL MANAGER THREAD. WHY WOULD WE EVEN THINK ABOUT GETTING RID OF YURI, HE IS THE ONLY PLAYER WE HAVE OTHER THEN TORRES THAT HAS A GOOD TURN OF PACE IN THE LAST 3RD OF THE PITCH.
  9. This is a real sad moment because these players along with Essien have finally made us into what we always strived for CHAMPIONS. This is the end of the first GOLDEN ERA AT CHELSEA these players should all have statues outside the bridge. The away game against arsenal when Robben scored from a Drogba through ball was my favourite live match, we have been so lucky ! We have had a united front at Chelsea and we have all pulled in the right direction, not many people like us but we have fought against the whole league and the media. Drogba, LAMPARD, CECH, TERRY, ESSIEN are legends of the highest order, not only Chelsea legends but premier league legends.
  10. He is just a confident young fast English forward who can finish brilliantly. I know were your coming from though, he is a little arrogant.
  11. Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink believes Chelsea may have made a mistake by signing Fernando Torres. The Spaniard arrived from Liverpool for a British record £50million on transfer deadline day to bolster the Blues' forward line and aid their assault for trophies this term. But former Chelsea striker Hasselbaink - who netted 70 goals in 136 league games for the Londoners - believes Carlo Ancelotti's side may have paid over the odds for the 26-year-old. And he also reckons the Blues should have spent the money on a creative influence, rather than adding to their selection of frontmen. "He's a good player but he's not been playing consistently for the last two years," Hasselbaink told Sky Sports News HD. "So in a way I'm a little bit surprised that he cost £50million - which is a lot of money. "And the problem Chelsea have had this year is creating goal-scoring opportunities. Torres is a finisher, not a creator. I don't think he is the solution." Problem Torres' arrival has cast uncertainty over the places of Didier Drogba and Nicolas Anelkaand Hasselbaink doesn't envisage all three playing in unison, while he is in no doubt as to who will be the main man of that attacking trio. "Where does it leave Drogba and Anelka?" said the ex-Netherlands man. "You can't put Drogba on the wing and Anelka prefers to play in the middle as well, so there is a little problem with Torres coming in. "I don't see them (all three) playing together, so it's going to be all one or the other. Torres comes with a big premium, so I think he will get the nod." Chelsea's new No.9 could make his Blues debut on Sunday in a potentially mouth-watering clash with the club he has just left, Liverpool. And Hasselbaink says there is a sure-fire way that Torres can immediately endear himself to the Chelsea faithful. "It will be a difficult match for him," added the former Stamford Bridge star. "He has been bought for £50m in a big move, but he can silence a lot of people by scoring the winner." SKYSPORTS
  12. If we could emulate that with Torres then it will be good !
  13. Real Madrid sold 1 million Ronaldo shirts in Madrid alone bringing them 100 million euros in revenue, imagine how many shirts they have sold world wide !
  14. I agree, he is a fierce competitor and he reads the game brilliantly !
  15. Yes and it was so natural as well, no hesitation, he just placed it !
  16. I think he was a brilliant right back in his day, in Holland they used to call him the '' little English fuhrer ''.
  17. Exactly Alex, the manager really rates him and he looks really confident.
  18. I thought he was a bright spark. His vision was what we expect from him !
  19. He is a good player, when he started at Chelsea he scored most times.
  20. Luiz reminds me so much of Carvalho !
  21. If we start Anelka and Torres, Liverpool will suffer. Liverpool can not deal with the pace and dynamism of those 2 forwards !
  22. Hey Alex, i will not believe Torres plays for Chelsea until he makes his debut ! THEN IT WILL SINK IN HAHAHAH !
  23. Arjen Robben failed us in the world cup final and sadly it will tarnish his international career. My heart missed a beat when he was put through twice then he failed to score both times, my best friend was crying when the Spanish scored it was the worst footballing moment i have ever experienced, 100 times worse then the champions league final. The great thing was though for a population of only 16 million people we continue to churn out great footballers, England has a population around 50 million and they suck lol i could not resist the little dig hahahahah sorry !
  24. Lol considering kalou's ability as a footballer he had an absolute blinder yesterday !
  25. Platini will find a way to target the rule only on English clubs lol !
