@Tomo the worrying thing is Torres has actually had his chances and he has failed to score. How many times has he had a chance and we have all been at the edge of our seats and he has skied it. We can not just keep playing him hopping the Torres of old comes back because it ain't. Face it people we have been ripped off, 50 million pounds wow. Don't get me wrong i really hope you post this message and laugh at me if he does rediscover his form because nobody wants it more then me.

@Tomo That was because they could accommodate all three of their playmakers remember ? Xavi played as a ball playing DM Iniesta and Deco ahead of him. We can not Accommodate three Playmakers in our midfield because we play in a total different league were you need a fighter in there.

Lukaku did play simple, he held it up laid it off then got into the box, that is what we wanted to see from him. If we can get midfielders running off him then i think it will be explosive, Ramires is perfect for that role as he causes problems with his pace.

The difference is Lukaku will definitively get a lot of chances in the nest 3 season's purely because he is a big money signing.

Mata looks a real talent but then we all knew that anyway. Ramires was a beast in midfield and Lukaku's hold up play was fantastic, Lukaku will make a lot of space if played as a lone striker because he plays with his back to goal. Torres has no confidence what so ever, i would bench him to be honest.

Torres is ducking and hiding from the chances he is getting, he is so low on confidence its unreal.

Sturridge will be good for us this season his energy will be needed also he is a good first time finisher, we have not had that since Crespo.

I would take Nani, have you seen his crossing ? INSANE !

If i was Josh and i seen us sign a 25 year old Luka Modric i would ask myself a few questions. We did not give Stoch a chance because of Kalou, we did not give Ben Sahar a chance because of Pizzaro. We need to straighten out our priorities at this club pronto.

I agree 100% with ESK, a few people on this forum like Bluelion, Eskweston, Fulham Broadway, Ollie, must remember when we had such high hopes for players like Ben Sahar Sinclair, Miroslav stoch, and none of them had a look in.

If Torres does not score in this game then suddenly he is under a heap of pressure.

I like Alvaro he has a turn of pace on him which would help us in away games.

He is our best defender in my opinion.

I know what you mean but i seriously believe that we have good variation. I look at our young players and i just see players with character and ability. I think Mata will find the runs of Torres and Sturridge at a canter this season, Also i think Lukaku will be a penalty box monster in 2 years time. Then we have Josh who i rate highly ! The next generation of Chelsea players are being formed.

I think Modric will block Josh's break through to be honest as they are very similar. I am happy with Mata and us figuring out how we play him some were in the middle, then we can sign a pacy left winger to give us balance with Danny on the right playing the same role as Suarez for Liverpool.

The thing is we have 2 brilliant off the ball movers in Danny ad fernando so we need to figure out how we provide them service from the central area. Then again our wingers generally suck too, i don't want Modric now i would rather have a pacy winger like Marco Marin.

I seriously think the movement and pace of Sturridge and Torres with the creativity of Mata will win us the league this season.

I think we will lose too much of his game if we play him on the wing. I want him more central were he can see more of the game, we he can use his ability properly. Sturridge and Torres who will clearly play in the same side will need his through balls, so i think he should play just behind the 3 forwards with Mikel sitting and Ramires cutting the amount of times he makes a trade mark burst into the box. What do other people think ?
