The depth on our team is repugnant when you compare it to teams such as Bayern. The need on defense is especially evident. Failed transfers like Marin cannot happen. We can't just buy players for the sake of manpower, how about some quality in there? Virtually all positions need a boost on this team, especially because of all of the fronts we will be fighting on next season (assuming we get a CL slot).

Why is there so little discussion about the need on defense? Are we even looking at anybody at the moment?

Yes it'll suck coming in 5th but there is a silver lining to everything. The team will be very hungry the following season, and I see them coming together in a way that wouldn't have been possible otherwise. Adversity will reveal the best in us, as always.

Despite Suarez and the refs, we really should have done better. Even the penalty caused by the handball from the rat should't have happened. We scored 1 real goal, off of a set piece, by a rare header from Oscar. Not good enough.

Torres can be so brilliant at times, and such shite at others. I would say let him stay if he wasn't such a diva when it comes to playing time. If we buy another striker, he's gonna sit there and pout like crazy when its not his turn. He's gotta be sold.
