Jovetic to Juve sounds on from this... Stevan Jovetic’s agent will reportedly communicate to Fiorentina today that the player wants to take up Juventus on their interest. The Gazzetta dello Sport believe that the Montenegrin’s representative Fali Ramadani will meet with La Viola’s President Mario Cognigni in Milan today to begin talks over a proposed transfer for the 23-year-old. It is understood that despite having had contact from Arsenal and Manchester City and reported late interest from Chelsea, the player has resolved to stay in Serie A and move to Turin. Jovetic has apparently already reached a contractual agreement with Juve, to sign for five years on a €4m salary. However, details of the Biaconeri’s latest proposal for the forward remain inconsistent. Where the Gazzetta dello Sport suggests an offer of €18m cash plus a share in Luca Marrone, La Stampa list that the money put forward would be €15m, whilst Tuttosport suggest it is even lower, at €12m. Fiorentina general manager Sandro Mencucci commented yesterday that Jovetic wants to leave.

Why can't people get the point it's a long season, we need better options than Benayoun etc and this guy will start some games, be benched for some and also played in different positions. Versatility and depth is a massive plus especially if you want to win leagues and cups.

It's not all Football Manager or FIFA where you get exactly who you want. A balance needs to be found, when you bring in these players you need to also remember that it's rotation and they might not be automatic starters. We are looking to bolster a thin squad but also make the bench look a lot stronger than it has been. I am not saying there isn't better players out there but if we shove Schurrle on in a game where he play left or right to pull teams open then great, we have added width with versatility and found a balance.

No 'I' in team, it's a squad game, we should be thankful if he does come here he will be replacing people like Benayoun.

Of course it applies to me, but like you, I have an opinion on him, and that is he will be good here. The Moses thing was not directed at you or anyone in particular just a generalization that people thought because he came from Wigan he wasn't good enough nor what we needed.

That's your opinion, I think we can buy a lot worse players than Schurrle considering how versatile he is. Look at Moses, people nearly cried from the roof tops when we signed him but he has turned out a very good signing. I wish people would at least give players a chance to prove themselves before judging them.

Plus Frank has signed for another year, so KDB out on loan for one season doesn't make it so much an issue. Plus I think we will but another midfielder this summer, so once Frank's year is coming to an end we can slowly edge in KDB.
