Good work Jim. I have to say you've gut a much better selection of books and dvd's than on the official megastore site. I've been looking for a while for something like this.
-
Just back from the game, and I think we more than made up for what went on last week. Very pleased with the result and am confident that we will go all the way to Wembley. Pleased that JT scored, and feel we really got behind him which was a good feeling. :blue scalf:
-
Just need to put last week behind us and just focus on the job in hand. Hopefully, we will be marching into the Semis for the cup come tomorrow evening.
-
Well said Yes he was at fault, but so were other players, JT for one. We can't lay the blame on one player. Hopefully it will mean the rest of the squad will also respond positively, and learn from their mistakes from last week.

I had a look in Rick Glanvill's book and all it says regarding the song is that it's derived from an old knees up number 'Ask Old Brown' - lyrics go Ask old brown for tea, and all the family, if he don't oome we'll tickle his bum with a lump of celery. He then goes on to say that Chas Hodges (one half of Chas and Dave) recorded it in 1981. Micky Greenaway who was a famous Chelsea fan is to have picked up the casette version during a Chelsea tour of Sweden in 1981 and supposedly he played it over and over and therefore the song Celery as we know it today was born.

I'm sure there is something about in Rick Glanvill's book. I'll have a check to see what Rick says. Someone was throwing some lumps down from MH Upper during the Cardiff game, pure class.

R.I.P - I may not have seen him play, but I know he will be forever rememberd as the king of stamford bridge

Welcome to Talk Chelsea :blue scalf:

OK, yesterday wasnn't good for us, but dropping JT isn't the answer, we need him, he just needs to find his form. I wish all the bad press he's getting would go away. Hopefully after what happened yesterday will give him/the squad the motivation to pick ourselves up and prove to all the doubters that we are still capable of winning the premiership.
-
Yes, I stayed to the end, think it's so important. Diasppointed at the result, but keep remembering that we need to Keep the Faith, hopefully a one of, look forward to thrashing Stoke next week in the cup :blue scalf: Tempers were obviously frayed, witnissed a fight in the loos afterwards, didn't stick around

If something were to happen to Hilario heaven forbid, then it would be Ross Turnbull's turn to step in wouldn't it? Don't think he's played a first team match yet has he?
-
Need to extend our lead, especially as Manure are now only one point behind us. We are still top, and Manure are not playing this weekend, but a win is a must to stay on top. If we can focus, we should be OK. I hope Hilario is up to the job.

some reason this has come out twice, sorry.

Well i'm back from Milan. I'm still in a bit of a daze, I can't quite believe that I was actually there, it's something that I will remember for many years to come. I had a fantastic time and would recommend if you have the time and money to go as there is nothing quite like it. The atmospehere in the San Siro was fabulous. I did take some pictures, not the best of quality, but i'll upload them into the gallery when I get a moment. Disappointed we lost, hope Cech is OK, last thing we needed, another injury. I'm confident we can beat them when they come to the Bridge in March. Early morning for me tomorrow as i'm going to the bridge to get a ticket for the home leg.
-
I was on the official coach. Wasn't too bad in the end, I think it was 8.20 when I got back to the Bridge, then I have another 40 minutes or so till I get back to Epsom, then I have a 40 minute walk to my house. I can't be bothered with taxis as they're expensive. Sorry I didn't come back to you about meeting up, things have been hectic this week. We'll have to make a date in the future.
-
I couldn't catch what he has saying, but he was just causing a disturbance and he was offending people. He was about 5 or so along from where I was. The stewartds came and tried to calm him down, and in the end they took him away. It's a shame really, because you get distracted from what's going on, on the pitch. I just kept thinking I don't want to get invovled I just want to focus on the game.
-
I can't wait for this, it seems like a long time coming, but I know it'll be worth the wait once i'm out there. Early start on Wednesday, 05.30 lol I have to check in at Gatwick. Will try and take some pictures and upload them when I come back.

It shows that the club is taking a stand and that it takes a dim view of any player found bringing the club into distrepute. Also, I we are being made a laughing stock by rival fans with such behaviour.

Finally got home at 10 last night. There were comments from where I was standing of 'woeful' during the first half. Relieved when DD scored. The second half we certainly picked up the pace. Shame DD didn't manage to score a hat trick. Thought Cech was superb once again, they way he reacts is brilliant. Did have a bit of drama where I was, some twat got evicted from the ground as he kept mouthing off about us. A Oh, by the way, thanks Everton, nice one :blue scalf:
-
I was only joing about having a member of the old bill being there and knowing i'd be safe. On a serious note, though I am aware of the safety issues and as for trouble I would not want to cause any trouble. I just want to enjoy my trip to Milan and especially enjoy the match.
-
Did you work for the police then? That puts my mind at rest, i know i'll be safe.
-
OK thanks mate, that's good to know. I think I'll do a bit of sight seeing too, need to investigate as to what's on offer.
-
Yep, I can't tell you how much i'm looking forward to the trip. Thanks for the advice about euro's. The English Football Pub, is that the name of the pub or is it just where most will be heading? In my itinerary i've got from about 11.30 till 18.30 free time to do what I want. The coach is dropping is me off at the Piazza Castello. Not sure if the pub will be anywhere near here....will do a bit of investigating beforehand.

Got confirmation of flights/itinerary from Thomas Cook today.
