  1. Where can we see the interview?
  2. SO F'N ANNOYED The one game i look forward to all season and they dont show it on TV, this is only like the third game that has not been shown here in australia all year and it had to be this one
  3. He does fit the criteria perfectly i totally agree but i just could not stand seeing him coaching one of our main rivals. I would not hold a grudge against him for it but i would be annoyed at the fact that he never got to finish what he started with us, and if united where to capture him i don't think they would ever let him go. Even if he has a couple of bad season. Look at Alex Ferguson when he started they finished in 11th place im pretty sure, but they did not get rid of him straight away they stood by him and look what he has done for the club now. If only Roman was not so silly and hungry for more trophies.
  4. I hate liverscum but i must admit there away top is very nice besides the badge. But uniteds on the other hand I cannot stand it.
  5. I know they are a top club or watever blah blah blah but still if he went to anyone of our rivals i would be so annoyed at him.
  6. Hahaha i no dude shes a stunner
  7. England star scores with brunette just weeks after getting red card from fiancee Read Story V http://www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/news/20802...om-fiancee.html
  8. 'If you want me to rule out being Man United manager I can’t' JOSE MOURINHO has sensationally put himself in the frame to become the next manager of Manchester United. The former Chelsea boss admits he expects to be considered when Sir Alex Ferguson finally quits Old Trafford. Jose Mourinho: Fergie's had it easy since I left Blues Mourinho, who takes on Fergie when his Inter Milan side face United in the Champions League this week, rates himself as “one of the best managers in the world.” And he reckons United will be unable to ignore his credentials when they begin the search for Fergie’s successor. Mourinho’s gift for self-promotion has never been stronger as he claimed: “I have big jobs left in me that is for sure — but I can’t commit to which ones. “If you want me to rule out ever being Manchester United manager I can’t. Special clubs need special managers so in theory it could work, but nobody knows what the future is in football. “The England national team wanted me as coach and that is the biggest job in England, so I am sure when Sir Alex retires they will look at the best managers in the world and I certainly fall into that category. Continue “How much time I can’t say, Sir Alex doesn’t look like he is ready to stop. But when you are managing a winning team you don’t want to stop — and if you have health then there is no reason to.” Opinion is mixed over Mourinho’s claims to become United manager. Rio Ferdinand has nominated the Portuguese as the best candidate to take over from Fergie — but United legends Sir Bobby Charlton and Bryan Robson believe his brand of football would not be to everyone’s taste. There is no immediate sign of Sir Alex stepping down from his role as United boss. At 67, he claims his health is good enough to enable him to continue in the job, despite previous suggestions that he would quit in May 2010. Fergie insisted this week: “You might have to carry me out. I’m not even thinking about retiring.” Mourinho’s future at Inter was under scrutiny last week — even though his team are still clear leaders of Serie A. He has been involved in a running battle with the Italian media and told them on Friday: “In another 86 days I will leave Italy and go on holiday. Will I still be the coach of Inter? In football you never know.” newsoftheworld.co.uk
  9. All round good performance by the team. Drogba continues to impress me, which is great to see because he has scored some crucial goals for us in the last few games. Same with Alex of late he has been defending so well and same with Terry they have both been so solid in the back for us as of late. Alexs goal was well deserved today. Also Quaresma again another great game, that cross was perfect hit alex straight on the foot. How long until Guss finally gives him a start??? Highlight of the game was defiantly seeing Ess back in the team, im worried it might be a big too early but i still think he has alot of hard work before he is fit.
  10. Such a shame, we really need some cover on that left side. If malouda has to cover on that side of the field we are going to be in all sorts of trouble. Whenever there is a 50 50 tackle, i agree with what alex said he always seems to pull out so i think we might be in some trouble. What about Juliano does anyone reckon he could cover on the left side if needed?
  11. It has been really frustrating, he has such great ability in all aspects of play besides that. It is defiantly his weakness. When he breaks so well down that wing and gets into space to get the ball in the box, he will hit a player 1 time out of 10. I think he needs to start practicing this in training, because i think we could have so many more goals if he can get these crosses right.
  12. Thanks for add the button jim I think that may be a good idea the player database does not get used all the much and we do get most of our posting in the General Discussion page, so i think it might be a good idea to get rid of it. Maybe instead of it we could add like a sub forum for rumours in the general discussion page? One more thing i think maybe we could change the name from Matthew Harding Stand to just General Chelsea Discussion because to new members they might get a bit confused what it actually is, i know it does have, (Articles, opinion and analysis on tactics, players and off the field issues) under it but not everyone reads it. Also i think we could add a few more sections in the Community section. Possibly break it down a bit more like categories like Music, Games, Comedy things like that to add something extra and so it is a bit more easy to understand? Because at the moment it is all over the place and to new members it could get a bit confusing.
  13. Good to see the young man is still committed to the blues. Personally i would be shattered to see him go i think he brings alot to our squad and the last thing we need atm is to have more holes in our wing areas.
  14. This guy needs to be played he came on in about the 70th minute yesterday and made there defense look silly. I think if he can get a bit more game time, he could be exactly what we have needed on the wings in the last couple of seasons because when he has the ball he looks so dangerous. Also i think him and drogba can make a great partnership, they already look like they have the eye for each other. For example the cross the quaresma put perfectly on drogba's head which he was unlucky not to finish.
  15. hey guys i added us on here so hopfully we will get a few more members from this. http://www.e-soccer.com/football_directory...Switch=Any_Word im still waiting on us to get put on the top rated sites so ill get back to use when that happens.
  16. Welcome to Talkchelsea Im guessing you got my email Hope you enjoy your stay
  17. You made a good point to me over msn, instead of opening new topics always in general discussion if it is regarding a player maybe we can paist it in the player database instead. So there is not so many pointless threads.
  18. Im guilty of these things too but when it is only like 5 or 6 posters always discussing things it does get a bit boring. Im doing my best to advertise the forum around. To all the new members and even members who have signed up to the forum but not contributing, i have sent them an email just letting them know to get involved and that we are a friendly community and your input in welcome and not to be shy. Hopefully it gets a few more people posting. I also tried adding us to a top rated football sites, im still waiting for confirmation emails from them but as soon as i receive them i will make a topic and everyone here must get voting for us so we can make this place a bigger and better community. Do you guys think that was a good idea? Cos im lost for ideas on how we can make this place bigger???
  19. Chelsea manager Guus Hiddink praised his side's mental strength and character after they beat Portsmouth 1-0 at a rain-soaked Fratton Park. A Didier Drogba strike 11 minutes from time was enough to give Chelsea all three points and keep their faint title hopes alive. "Drogba is one of the men in the team who is a leader. He knows there is always a chance to score," Hiddink said. "We can improve but the team showed their strength. Let's hope we can keep up the pressure. It was a close match and Petr Cech made some good saves." The win keeps the Blues second and moves them to within four points of leaders Manchester United, although the champions have two games in hand. The Dutch boss was understandably pleased with the victory, but especially after the hosts had numerous good chances to win the game themselves. "It's good, the team are mentally strong, the team showed a lot of character," he told Sky Sports. Risks "I had prepared my third substitution for the 75th minute and we might have taken some risks but the goal came at a good moment." Hiddink was also pleased that his side had applied pressure to United ahead of their fixture away at Newcastle on Wednesday. "The pressure is on to go for the championship, when you are chasing its good to keep the pressure on," he added. The Russia national team boss also found time to praise his match winner Drogba as the Ivory Coast international claimed only his second league goal of the season. "He is the man in the team who's leading who's mentally strong," Hiddink added. "He is enjoying his football and enjoying his training. He had a difficult night and he had a slight chance and he took it."
