Tottenham's squad is close to as good as ours, but I think our squad is way better than everton and arsenal. In 1/3 of our games we look like the best team in the EPL.

I honestly can't see bertrand taking over the role of Cole, it would be a big drop in quality imo, and I can't see him improving that much in the next couple of years. Don't get me wrong, he is/will be a solid defender, and could start in plenty of EPL teams, but I think if Chelsea wants to be world class they will have to have word class or near world class players in every position, so if not Shaw, we need someone for that position.

Although a disappointing performance, I was impressed by his aggression and effort towards the beginning/middle of the game

I would have loved him to go to the spanish league, but I would have liked it to be a bottom team there, or at least bottom half- mid level. Malaga is a quality team that already has a good attacking midfield...I can't see him getting a lot there. I'd rather play him every odd game here at Chelsea than for him to play every odd game at Malaga. But if he does get to play a lot, it will be great experience, so hopefully we know what we're doing on moves like this.

Can we make an "argue about shit" forum where fans can talk out there lampard, benitez, and other stuff? I tire of hearing the same arguments over and over with just new vocabulary thrown in.

I'm sure this has been mentioned before, but even if Ba doesn't score, his runs and pulling away defenders and holding on to the ball is just so much better what torres does. Even though a relatively quiet game for Ba, it still felt like we had 11 men out there, which I never seem to feel for torres. The goals Torres has this season all seemed to be either luck or served on a platter. Ba is a good (but not exceptional) striker that has shown just how bad Torres really is. The sooner the Chelsea administration can swallow their pride and admit "we made a horrible mistake" the better, so we can finally sell Torres at a huge loss just to get him off our payroll. Then we could sign up and coming young striker to back up Ba and another decent cheap third striker as a backup, just on Torres's wages alone. I've backed Torres for so long, and have kept getting my hopes up, even thought maybe Benitez could maybe do it, but he's used up all my patience. Even if he volunteered to play for no wages, I'd just rather not have his awful attitude on the squad.

can he get the hat trick!!!!?!?!??!!
-
One day, could we play against a keeper who doesn't have the match of his life against us
-
although he'd be equally as useless as bertrand, if it gives us an excuse to start Ba next game then it'll be a genius move
-
Id don't understand how he could even be an option in midfield, ahead of marin and piazon. Its not a midfield role even, its a winger which in our formation is more of an attack than a defense. I can't understand for the life of me why he'd be chosen for this.

"cracking finish by Walters"
-
Beautiful shot by walters!
-
wd Ba
-
Bertrand is among everything else, way too slow to play winger
-
Also, Hazard needs to be stronger, stoke is just bullying him
-
Lukaku just scored! (irrelevant)
-
We got lucky

(sorry guys for the double post) here's an hd link http://www.vipbox.tv/football/118385/5/stoke-city-vs-chelsea-live-stream-online.html this has all the EPL games and plenty of others http://www.vipbox.tv/sports/football.html I assume this site works in your respective countries, I'm using it in the U.S.

I don't understand a pick of bertand, how could he be better than at least marin or piazon in this situation?

Yeah, that's what the article says but the emphasis is that it says pourrait etre, doesn't really tell us a whole lot necessarily, the article is just speculating that with lampard gone chelsea will be looking for a new star midfielder and may go for him. The article kind of covered their asses.
-
(not sure if mentioned before) but imagine him and Luiz in the pivot, no team could handle that combination of hair.
-
If they're going to try to force Torres upon this team, I'd rather see it as occasionally playing both Torres and Ba up top some games, to rest either Hazard or mata, than just replacing Ba entirely. I know it would ruin the 4-2-3-1 they love so much, but two be honest, none of our players look super comfortable in the pivot position, so tweaking the formation to allow two strikers and rest either Mata or Hazard (who look really tired some matches) might work out better than trying to play Marin or some alternative. And Benitez can still play his love Torres on games we still need Ba out there. Of course I'd rather just do away with Torres altogether, but that never seems to be an option.

I like that he looks so calm and cool headed.

I have to agree with you on this one, all of our recently signed players (especially the big names) have had an emphasis on being technically gifted, smaller players. Imagine mazacar trying to play strong physical football. :lol2: That's why Abramovich practically salivates over Guadiola.
