  1. It's gonna be surreal for him going up against Steve Clark, AVB & Brendan Rodgers. Looking back.. I was more distraught about Mourinho leaving than when we lost the CL final. Even though yes, things had turned sour.. it was still devastating, and I remember the moment and what I was doing when sky announced it. Never a dull moment at this club, but the return of Jose' would be grandiose.
  2. Same could be said (performance wise) for Barca-09 CL, still doesn't take anything away from the officiating though.
  3. City fans are one of the most bitter in world football. Living under United's shadow since forever, therefore have a completely different mentality to Chelsea fans post-Roman. Grandiose delusions about how big they ‘think’ they are, even belittling Romans riches in comparison to the sheikh. On the other end of the spectrum, you have the older City generation of fans and their munich chants.
  4. Drama has been the theme of the season, and I don't see that discontinuing.
  5. In regards to the added time... Clearly the PL want to make the race for the top 4 spot a hollywood moment, because the actual title race was dull and clear cut. Last season the league was won on the final day. Thus, they need something similar this year, excitement for the neutrals etc.
  6. Might have to revive the 'We hate City thread' after they did us no favours, as per usual. Yaya on his A-game against us, against Spurs.. strolling around casually.
  7. We'll see... Also depends whether it's gonna be a two-legged final or not.
  8. I wouldn't get too sewn up over the sparked captaincy debate, once Benitez leaves it'll be business as usual. Rafa has a lot of freedom in regards to team selection, nothing to lose, bridges don't need to be built with JT.
  9. 9.5/10.. love the retro stripes, adidas paying homage to previous kits, the collar and the dark blue contrasts work well. One thing I will say though, the back of the shirt is a bit plain, I loved the 'cfc' collar on the previous kit. Other than that tiny detail, it's perfect though. Adidas >>>>> Nike
  10. After those comments, the club should sit him down.. and give him a run through of comparisons between the two clubs. Powerpoint presentations.. the lot.
  11. Even worse!.. That's like what a 'Stoke City' or a 'Brentford' player would say about Chelsea. A Chelsea player shouldn't be saying that about fucking Man-City!.. It would only be a 'little' acceptable if it was said about the mighty Barcelona, but even then.. still unacceptable for an elite club like us.
  12. 'The window dressing' as you put it, is part & parcel of maintaining the clubs image. If you have players spouting stuff like "we we're frightened!" of tiny clubs like City, it sends out all the wrong messages. Essentially you have to be aware of how certain 'soundbites' can and will be taken out of context, regardless of intent.
  13. More than likely, non-technical/grass roots ethos type club. We mishandled a gem, and now he's worth upwards of £25m..
  14. Embarrassing comments, wish he had kept that to himself.. The problem is we have next to no 'physical presence' compared to City, even players like Ramires can be easily pushed off the ball.
  15. It's just come to my attention, that his 2nd failed trial for us at 15 years old was against... *wait for it*... Millwall!. According to his own personal account they just kicked chunks out of him, must have been a massive culture shock. The continued mishandling of youth by Chelsea FC, smh.
  16. Carry on like this and Yaya/Kompany/Clichy will be sent off, well.. with a proper ref anyway.
  17. It's a shit system, whoever gets appointed as the home side in the home dressing room should get to play in their home colours.
  18. So we're 'technically' the home side, yet.. playing in the away kit? The fuck...
  19. ^ That 'inner' club badge was a master stroke from umbro, looked great when hung up.
  20. http://www.classicfootballshirts.co.uk/premiership-clubs/chelsea.html?p=6 You can get the shirts from every season here (most without names/numbers), note that the PL font changed in 2009.
