  1. It's hard to be pessimistic after the Barcelona tie, I'm sure the players will feel the same way. Analysing the game it seems pretty much everything is either 50/50 or 60/40 in Bayern’s favour. Anyone who thinks it's a full gone conclusion either way, has never seen a football match before.
  2. Bayern are panicking, the president & manager have hit out at the club itself and now Drogba.
  3. Well, well, well..... ............ - Frank Ribery http://www1.skysport.../11095/7762655/
  4. Assume so, I'd prefer black tbh though. When we rip out the old ones, they should keep hold of Eva Carneiro's, and sell it in a charity auction. Preserve the butt print, and get her to sign it.
  5. We will be getting leather bucket seating like United have.. Big improvement, considering our current dugout seats are those plastic folding cinema style deck chairs. Little improvements like this just give the club a more 'premium' image, and of course the extra revenue.
  6. Yea, noticed that, must be a bug.. Keeps saying you posted 2 minutes ago, when it was a day ago etc.
  7. Kez hasn't even been active, KieranVogel should have been nominated, fastest member to receive mod status since joining.
  8. “If he pulls the plug on them you will be able to pick the club up for the price of a puzzle magazine from a news stand.” Not really, his comments were over dramatised & nonsensical. If I was to judge Bayern Munich from his comments alone, I would assume they were a joke of a club. Chelsea is on the road to self sufficiency, if it wasn't for manager pay-outs we would have achieved Kenyon's original target back in 09.
  9. I'm still against football shirts being over cluttered, but yea.. it's somewhat discrete and doesn't really take the focus away. At the time, reaching a Champions League Final seemed impossible.
  10. Can someone re-post that Avengers spoof image of Hulk, the "I have an army, we have a hulk" one?
  11. That's a bit of an overreaction. 3 days to go yet, the dust is already settling from City's title win, and today Kenny was sacked. Overall the build up has been the same as any Champions league final.
  12. The RIP fergie sign was classless, especially because it was out of context, in reply to something Fergie said before a derby.. 3 years ago. Out of context (which it was) it just looks tacky, small minded & vulgar. On a side note, did Tevez actually receive a winners medal?, if so.. that is pretty disgraceful, considering what happened in the season.
  13. Mentally, the Bayern players are in deep trouble if they fixate on how much the core of this Chelsea squad want this, after all the injustices.
  14. Let's not overstate the home advantage, it's not exactly your typical run of the mill home game. It will be an alien atmosphere for Bayern, in more ways than one.
  15. They wouldn't feel that way in our position, and the tables were turned. Plus they're on a high from their first league win in 44 years.
  16. Somewhat surprised by that.. Nevertheless, clearly a man with principles, remember Steve Clarke was unemployed when he accepted the Liverpool job.
  17. Even so, that's not unanimous enough for it to have earned an entire thread.
  18. ^ By definition, anti-tribalism is not being a supporter of a football club.. The title of this thread is invalid, hate is also a strong word. There are enough City fans that want us to lose (in general) to make the premise of this thread redundant. Man-City are out to jeopardise Cheslea FC’s own aims and objectives, they ‘directly’ effect us. Their success is our demise, so in that sense, a Chelsea fan being 'neutral' to City’s successes is illogical. Anyone who had an inclination towards City on Monday, either subconsciously wants the Sheikh's to overtake Roman's success. Or doesn’t realise how much of a threat they are to us. United are a dying force with Ferguson on his last legs, one more for the pile would have made no difference, almost like the season never happened. The attitude that City are good for the league is that of a neutral, only a spectator feels that way. Plus, it’s actually the opposite!, they are.. and may well monopolise the league, this FFP came along at the worst possible time for us. Because City have found a way around it (we all know how), almost like the last fish to escape the net before ascension.
  19. ^ If worst comes to worst, we will have a 'lesser' deal, which would be disastrous with the FFP coming into place. Like I said, every company feels the same way Samsung do... “Being associated with a winning team is much better than a failing team.” - Samsung vice president
  20. Very naive.. The Samsung sponsorship is the fifth highest in european football, losing them would be disastrous, as their attitude is the same as every organisation.. “Being associated with a winning team is much better than a failing team.” - Samsung vice president
  21. Peter Kenyon revolutionised Chelsea, one of the finest chief execs in world football history. You only have to look at his work at Man-Utd, to understand why.
