  1. I would absolutely love if we played 4-3-3 or some variation of it like 4-3-2-1. I'm so bloody sick of 4-2-3-1.
  2. Every club needs depth. Splashing out on Falcao (and not buying any other players) isn't going to solve our midfield problems. Right now I think we need someone like Moutinho, whether we're going to continue with 4-2-3-1 or make the change to 4-3-3, he would be perfect. We someone who is going to link the defence to attack, someone who can control the tempo of the game. I think Oscar would be able to do this perfectly, but his positioning isn't yet good enough to perform the defensive aspect of that role.
  3. I hope to God the Moutinho rumour is true. He is just the player we need.
  4. Wow, it wasn't nice wake up and see this. Very sad indeed. Wish him all the best and a speedy recovery.
  5. Yeah, I pretty much agree. Walcott has improved recently and has shown a lot of determination. He seems to have matured a lot. But he's the type of player who plays well when the team is playing well. He disappears for a lot of games and isn't going to grab the game by the scruff of the neck.
  6. Ability-wise I think they're fairly even, in my opinion. But I think Walcott has a slight edge as a player because he has more experience and his attitude is better.
  7. While you are right and I agree with you, it's never going to get you anywhere comparing Ramires and Mikel to Essien and Maka in terms of ability. There are two of the best players we'll ever have. Unique and a one-off. To extend on what Ryan was trying to say: you can only make do with what you've got (not taking anything away from Ramires or Mikel). And in a 4-3-3 like we played back then under Mourinho, Mikel would play a similar role to Makelele and Ramires would play a similar role to Essien.
  8. True. But you have to understand that Sturridge wants to be playing regularly as a CF, and that's just not something the Chelsea board are willing to offer him. I'm not faulting Sturridge's ambition, but I'm also not faulting the board for attempting to sign Falcao. It seems to be the best deal for both Chelsea and Sturridge.
  9. Let's be honest here, you weren't joking. You were trying to argue for no reason. Anyway, pointless discussion.
  10. Well that's your opinion... but just a tad of common sense would allow anyone to see he was joking.
  11. You can't just guarantee Falcao will be a flop. It would be silly if Chelsea never took a risk again just because of what happened with Torres.
  12. It was cool until you made this comment and unbalanced it.
  13. I'm not even a big fan of Sturridge but that sounds amazing.
  14. We don't necessarily need a buyer for Torres for this to happen, we just need a buyer for Sturridge and it seems to be pretty likely that he will be joining Liverpool very shortly. A move which would free up £65,000 per week in wages and a £12M transfer fee. To be honest, I don't think Chelsea ever wanted to extend Sturridge's contract, whether we like it or not. A club would never let the contract of a 23 year old player that they had high hopes get to six months left. So £12M for Sturridge with only six months left on his contract, that's good business to be honest.
  15. Any chance this Pipi Estrada has a reputation of being reliable?
  16. That's true. Basically, if Chelsea activate the clause then it's Falcao's decision if he wants to talk to Chelsea or not.
  17. Wow. This is just going to fuel the Falcao rumours. If anything, it makes me believe the rumour even more than Falcao is very close to agreeing terms with Chelsea.
  18. I don't know... Balagué seemed pretty confident that Falcao is signing for Chelsea, but he obviously couldn't say too much. He rarely reports anything that doesn't have at least some truth to it.
  19. Oh this is interesting. If terms were agreed between club and player, are Chelsea liable to announce it before the transfer window starts?
  20. Like I said, Spanish media seem to know something. Guillem Balagué also said it on Revista de la Liga. Neither club has denies or confirmed anything though. It should be interesting to see what happens over the next few days. Something tells me this is true though.
  21. Apparently, Spanish television have announced that Falcao has been in discussions with Chelsea all day and is signing a contract at this very moment. Nothing official as been confirmed yet and no reliable source either. Hmm.
  22. That's an excellent point mate. I've even noticed that Hazard has stepped up his game over since Moses started playing better. It will be interesting to see how Oscar performs during his next start as he hasn't been starting as of late.
  23. When are you posting it mate?
