  1. So RDM's lack of tactical awareness somehow takes away from Falcao's talent and ability? This makes no sense.
  2. Well if you really think that Arsenal, Tottenham or Liverpool could win the Premier League then there's no point in arguing with you. He scored that against our weak side? What are you talking about? Chelsea's starting line-up vs Atletico: Petr Cech; Ashley Cole, David Luiz, Gary Cahill, Branislav Ivanovic; John Obi Mikel, Frank Lampard ©; Eden Hazard, Juan Mata, Ramires; Fernando Torres Now other than Terry missing, in what way is that our weak side? It's not very different from the usual starting 11 we put out now.
  3. Well, that's your preference. But just because you would prefer to watch Stoke vs Everton, it does not mean La Liga is not on the same level as the EPL. Some notable Real Madrid results so far this season: Draw with Valenca, loss to Getafe, loss to Sevilla, loss to Real Betis, loss to Celta Vigo.
  4. Do you really think any of those six teams can win the EPL? Like I said, it's also a two horse race just like La Liga. With maybe a third club in with a chance of winning the title.
  5. What story does it tell then? Comparing leagues from two different tables will only get you so far. Compare how many teams from both leagues are still in the Champions League and Europa League, and also what happens when English teams play Spanish teams. English teams definitely do not dominate against Spanish teams. People seem to think that La Liga isn't as great as the EPL because it's not as 'fast-paced' and because it's always a two horse race. But let's face it, the EPL is also a two horse race with maybe a third club having a chance of winning the title. And that's the exact same as La Liga. Atletico being that third club, who are actually ahead of Real Madrid and sit in second place.
  6. What are you talking about mate? Seriously? Firstly, La Liga is not the easiest league in the world. In my opinion, it's on the same level as the English Premier League. If you can come up with any stats or reasonable argument that suggests it's not on a similar level to the EPL then go ahead, be my guest. Secondly, I'm not quite sure what you're getting at, but are you implying that Torres is better than Messi?
  7. We all love moments like that... but we never would have had that moment had we not finished in the top four the season before.
  8. I wouldn't mind either to be honest. They're both great DMs with great anticipation, who are great at sitting in front of the back four all day long, intercepting passes and making tackles and then move the ball on to a more creative players. Keeping things simple.
  9. When it happened, I bitterly disagreed with it. Yes, the fans are fickle. There are fans out there who want 'Roman out'. After everything he has done for us. We are Chelsea fans after all, and we support the team. A lot of fans could do with thinking how all of those banners and booing affect the players. I'm sure some of the players miss Di Matteo too, but do you see or hear them 'voicing their opinion?' No. They just pay their thanks to Robbie and move on. And I have done the same. I mean, really, what is the point to all of this booing? What good is going to come from it? And hey, you can only beat the team that is put out in front of you. And this isn't all about winning (even though that is the most important thing). Some members on here were just making observations about the positive things that have been happening on the pitch recently. What's wrong with that?
  10. I know he did, but there's a lot of talk about 'plastic fans' lately. In my mind, the ones that are the plastic fans are the ones holding up those banners. I haven't been to any of matches recently, but if I had been I would have kept my mouth shut because I care about how that shit affects the players.
  11. Don't you think you're being just a tad narrow-minded here? You're just blinded by your hatred for Benitez, it seems. This isn't about Robbie. Whether they were 'average pub teams' or not, the team is improving on the pitch and the players' confidence is getting higher. You can only beat the team that is facing you.
  12. But what's wrong with playing as a CB in one game and as a DM in a different game?
  13. Strange that Benitez didn't let them know what roles they were to play. I can't imagine him saying 'decide between yourselves.'
  14. Yep, my Dad is the reason I support Chelsea. I've only seen my Dad cry twice and one of those times was when Chelsea won the Champions League. What a moment that was.
  15. Well, if Cole leaves during the summer we're going to have to sign another left-back. I don't really think Bertrand is ready to be our first-choice left-back but I would happy take Coentrao and Bertrand as his back-up.
  16. The team would be on a great high if we win this, which could set us on our way in the Prem and hopefully string together a good run of results. Looking forward to it nonetheless, should be a nice flowing game of football.
  17. I think we will all be happy if he keeps it up, but gutted if he suddenly disappears again. Let's just hope for the best.
  18. No. Torres played well. Simple as that really.
  19. We should call him Xabi Luiz. Or maybe David Alonso. Either way... he sure can pass a ball!
  20. Really enjoyable game of football. Some nice link-up play. Luiz was great in the new position. And we all had a laugh when Torres celebrated. Looking forward to Sunday.
  21. I'm guessing it's 4-2-3-1 mate, with Luiz and MIkel in the pivot.
  22. Luiz as a DM then. Looks like so many Chelsea fans' wish has come true.
  23. Ah really? Not far from me then. What's here name?
