Don't you think the members of this site should be aware of what could happen with their personal info? I may have disagreements with certain members but I don't think they should have stuff they haven't given permission to be shared posted on the site. If you think that that's fine then you and I will just have to agree to disagree though. Hey, I know I'm not popular with certain people and that's fine. But unless you think it's fine for personal info to be posted without your explicit permission then I don't quite know why you're commenting. It's fine of you to treat this so lightly, but you're an admin on a fans' forum that has aspirations to grow (I'm assuming). Do you think it's acceptable for an admin to post personal information that people haven't given express permission to be published? If you do, then add it to the forum rules so EVERY member is aware of what upsetting you might lead to.

I'm not too sure if this is a serious question or not. Choulo CHOOSES to link to his twitter account with his personal info available (such as his name). I and many others don't choose to do that and we may have a multitude of reasons for doing so. Now whatever the discussion and however heated, I don't think it should be in the forum rules that an admin can post personal information about people in public threads. Maybe I'm in the wrong about this and people are happy for this to occur though.

In fairness most of the admins and mods are fine and haven't done anything like that - hopefully it was an isolated incident.

He disagreed with the wrong people, especially in the Mikel thread. He knew it was coming a few months ago after Alex started a thread, then quickly deleted it. Yes he might have pissed people off sometimes, but I've seen members here call other members cunt and I've seen an admin start a thread designed to attack a member and then post personal information about that member. Yes there are rules on forums but a bit of consistency might be nice because at the moment, it's clear that there is a clique who can get away with saying pretty much what they want without repercussions.

Exactly. Whilst the attack is static and teams put 10 men behind the ball then maybe having an extra man in the box at set-pieces is a better bet than a marginally better crosser of the ball to aim for.....well no-one. Ivanovic's hustle almost led to a goal on Saturday too. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if he has more attacking contributions in terms of goals and assists this season than most other fullbacks.

It's not something you can fix overnight. A lot of times it's down to a bit of anxiety or simply because the teams who come to the Bridge stifle the play so much that games can become a little dull. Football crowds are pretty weird things too. In this country you tend to find we become more vocal in adversity, and that's a tough role for us to adopt when we're one of the biggest, richest clubs in the world. When you're on an away day, you're in 'enemy territory' in the role of the underdog so there's a greater will to fight the 'occupying force'. Plus I can only talk about myself but I tend to drink more before an away game, so that helps. You have to look at the profile of our fans though. We're not unique in seeing a change in the type of fans going, but the whole atmosphere has changed. My earliest memories are of half-time stinking of booze and fags, but then it changed to families literally bringing packed lunches. It's almost like we've been domesticated in a way. That's not to say we don't have the ability to be louder, but it's often in the games where there's a rivalry or the other team comes to attack us. It's not going to be as simple as reducing the price of tickets because that's not possible every week in the current stadium. I actually think any solution is going to come with a move to a new ground where you can maybe look to standing areas (although I've seen plenty of times the MHL has been all standing but there's still an anxious feel amongst the fans) or reduce prices in certain areas but still maintain the income you need. Ultimately though, we're a rich club with expensive seats in West London. That's going to have a massive bearing on what type of people you attract to the club.

This does seem very much the case, considering we have Baker, Loftus-Cheek and Swift who can play those roles and not quite the same quality of defender. His skillset lends itself well to that midfield role as demonstrated last season.

Yes, transition. We won the Champions League playing very much the same football we were playing under Mourinho with almost the same spine. Years of failing to develop a new identity or even an evolution of the old has left us with a gap that we're still trying to bridge. The funny thing is I think we're still very much in the title race, and we're almost certainly going to qualify for the next stage of the Champions League so quite why the need for panic when the team we were all expecting to be challenging for the title have lost to Cardiff and lost to us, are currently losing to Sunderland I don't know.

Again, spot on. Mourinho formed an identity and it existed long after he left and led us to Champions League triumph. Ancelotti never built one and no-one else had the time. Now Jose is building another identity, a slightly different one and people are questioning him in November? Have we learnt nothing?

You'd be on your own. They're not fucking special forces, but there are certainly supporters who I have thanked for keeping this club alive for me to enjoy. Had the chance? Sorry mate but most people I know don't choose to support this club. They do it because it was passed down to them. It isn't always enjoyable and there aren't always commemorative football shirts to order with little trophies on, but they cheer us on through the sun and rain.

Spot. Fucking. On. The Mikel/Lampard debate is the perfect example of this. The simple fact is neither is perfect for what we need but if neither of them performs then the club suffers. Most would love for Mikel to put in the type of performance he did against Everton week-in and week-out, but he doesn't. Similarly we'd like Lamps to put in the type of performances he did at points this season. The fact that some can't even wait until the end of the match to post an 'I was right' comment is laughable. What most of us recognise is that we've lacked managerial stability to provide and identity for this club. That identity won't come overnight, but we have a great man in charge who loves this club. Kneejerk reactions and individual agendas aren't what I'd call supporting this club.

Cowardly and inept? I've never had cause to question his commitment to the club, I've never seen him shirk a challenge and I've never seen him give less than 100%. He doesn't deserve the abuse you're giving him.

Yeah there is. You support the club, you support the players and you keep your criticisms fair. And fuck privileged position. I work fucking hard and make sacrifices to support this club, which is something you don't seem to understand. Very few people in the ground aren't in that boat. However I do regard myself as lucky to be supporting the club at this moment in time, rather than the generation before mine who were fighting tooth and nail to keep this club alive. That type of support is invaluable and I think people need to step back and look at the bigger picture sometimes.

We bought him to develop him. His price was based not just on his current ability, but on his potential and the one thing holding him back is his attitude. He's shown growth as a player, becoming a lot more no-nonsense but the mental side of his game simply hasn't progressed. You may not have a problem with his attitude but plenty of people do and recent reports suggest some within the club do. That's why he's not been playing. Again, you're so far out of sync with what Chelsea supporters think that it's almost laughable. Cahill is by no means perfect but he's paid a wage that is about fair considering the market and his transfer fee, and he's been an important member of the squad. He doesn't deserve the level of vitriol that you're directing at him.
