  1. Robbing 'us' blind? Getting into a discussion about whether a player is worth his wages or not is pointless, and has nothing to do with your statement that he's 'stealing a living'. The fact that he helped us win a Champions League and Europa League (which both have commercial benefits) is probably not what you want to discuss, leaving you with just broad generalisations and hysterical reactions.
  2. The person in question wasn't saying a player should be subbed, he suggested that one of our greats was tarnishing his legacy. Criticism like that is fucking laughable, so unless you want to defend that then I don't think we need to continue this discussion.
  3. What else would I 'denote' it from? What do you 'denote' your's from?
  4. Oh behave mate. That's one of the most laughable things I've heard.
  5. Considering there are people on here who call our supporters plastic, who insult the manager, who insult the players 20 minutes into the second half and who re-write recent history after a couple of losses I'm not too sure if you're being serious. I question people's support when they don't support the club in any meaningful way. I'll admit it.
  6. It's got nothing to do with nationality and everything to do with the attitude of each player. Everyone knows Luiz is the most skilful centre-half we have and he has the potential to be world-class, but it's his attitude that people have issues with.
  7. Nothing I say is based on race, creed or nationality. Nobody has reached a conclusion on you based on you being Canadian, for example.
  8. He was consistently our best and most important player at the start of the season. Yes he's the favoured man. Don't know. Because he's still important to the team and the game against Newcastle really doesn't count because he was moved to the wing. The next game we won 3-0. I think he offers different things to Mata, aka the POTY in two poor seasons (league form, not cups). I thought it was nice of me to answer each question when you didn't bother to answer mine. 5 goals and at least 3 MOTM awards by my reckoning.
  9. Not at all. There are legitimate concerns within the context of us rebuilding. But honestly, I don't think this is a conversation we need to have. Ivanovic is playing because there isn't anyone else People moaned about Cole being selected - he's been dropped. People moaned about Azpi not playing - he's been playing. How many goals does he have? How many matches was he Man of the Match?
  10. It makes me wonder why people support the club when they say certain things.
  11. Because Lampard and Ivanovic haven't been playing like they did yesterday since the start of the season. The kneejerk reaction is to take a recent run of bad form (which they've both had for different reasons and to different degrees) and apply it to the whole season. I think if it's unfair criticism that is ignorant of the position we're in as a club, then I do question the support that people are giving to the club. It's very easy to call yourself a supporter when things are going well and we're winning trophies but those glories don't come overnight.
  12. Isn't it precisely because we won't steamroll them that we might have opportunities to hit them on the counter? They'll come at us and that will leave spaces behind.
  13. That's not why you were called a troll. Not to be too much of an arsehole, but whilst we might have our disagreements about Jose, Ivanovic, Mikel etc. the one thing we all agree on is you. You sir bring us all together.
  14. No, I think people need to be fair and have some perspective.
  15. Home against West Ham I might agree. But the one thing you can guarantee is that they'll come at us. It's admirable, but it's predictable. Yesterday's team is probably better suited to playing in this fixture with the possible inclusion of Schurrle and Torres. It'll be physical, it'll be a battle but counter-attacking opportunities will exist and I think we've got a great chance.
  16. Don't get drawn into it mate. Too many people live and die by the last result. After City we were going to win the league, today Mourinho needs to grow balls, is deluded and was the wrong choice depending on who you listen to. It's all kneejerk reactions.
  17. People just have faith in the guy in charge and think that no building process is without pain.
  18. Spot on mate. Mourinho is leading us through this transition and I think he is exactly the right man for this club. I don't think I'm alone. If people don't think he is then that's fine and they can start a Jose Out petition for all I care. But my view is that we're building something here and it's going to take time. When we're winning stuff it's easy to jump on the bandwagon, but it's also important not to go overboard when things aren't going quite as smoothly.
  19. As I said earlier, Ivanovic started the season as one of our best players but he's been off the pace in recent games and Azpi probably deserves a shot in his preferred position. Unfortunately I'm not sure West Ham away is the game for that. He fights for this club 100% of the time though so maybe he'll get a run out at centre-half if we move Azpi to the right.
  20. Absolutely mate, but there's a double standard. Some members get nasty when there's banter and it becomes a one-way street. For example, Choulo actually posted personal information about me in a thread when he couldn't take the banter. Phil will end up getting the same type of treatment eventually.
  21. I can't blame him for pumping long balls into the box because that seemed to be Jose's instruction. He isn't going to dribble the ball 50 yards and play a slide rule pass for Ba. But honestly I think you need to calm down on him a bit because (not to sound like an Essex housewife) he ain't worth it. There are a couple of posters who seem to care solely about Mikel and winding up people like you to get their jollies. He really isn't deserving of this much attention, but the position he is competing for is. It's not a case of Lampard versus Mikel because neither one of them is the definitive answer. They both offer different things against different opponents, but both will make mistakes because it's not really their position. But honestly, leave the trolls (you know who they are, we all do) to their agenda and just continue supporting this club Seriously mate, don't waste your time. They'll keep winding you up and allowing other members to call you a cunt until they can find a reason to ban you. It's happened before.
  22. At least see both sides of it. Phil might post some rubbish sometimes (sorry mate but it's true), but so do people like ChelseasMessiah and your mate Nour. The simple fact is that Mikel isn't the answer. He can be a squad player but the amount of chatter about him is fucking ridiculous compared to his actual level of talent and his importance to this club. Lampard isn't the answer, but neither is Mikel. They're both square pegs in round holes who can sort of fix at a stretch. Mikel has had some good games, Lampard has had some good games but the arguments about both have got fuck all to do with this club and more to do with certain people needing to be right and feel validated.
  23. Again, I agree with the crux of your point. The fear with bringing in a new keeper is that their inexperience might cost us goals as they develop. The reality is that Cech is actually throwing in mistakes that are leading to goals too, so one has to ask would the difference in having Courtois actually be that great? Just think if De Gea had conceded the second goal against West Brom.
  24. And this is pretty much it. People saying that he's tarnishing his legacy are so far out of sync with what Chelsea supporters actually think about Lamps that it's almost laughable. Mikel and Ramires can work in certain games, but for the majority of games we need someone with Lamps skill set. What we really need though is someone new.
  25. Luiz didn't play because he was dropped for a poor performance, and Cahill put in a solid one against Schalke. Mata didn't start because he was shit against Newcastle and Oscar has probably been our best player this season. But that's just like my opinion man.
