These players had belief and form last season and obviously Mourinho played a big part in that. However, he also played a big part in creating a toxic atmosphere at the club since the Eva situation. Not to mention selling all of the competition the current crop had at the time. With that competition gone, we had no one to change things up when the shit hit the fan. Your title defence should also not rest on getting Stones and Pogba in the transfer window. We are undefeated since he left and I would not have him back.

Never a massive fan since his big dip in performance since the 12/13 season, but was a true servant to the club. Believed he was finding use again since last January or so when the pairing of Fabregas-Matic was turning sour. Sad to see him go, but £25m is a fantastic price. And, once again, somehow Mikel survives yet another cull. Like my tag line used to say "Mikel - the turd that won't flush". Better than Houdini that man is.

The only thing is that he's almost 29 and plays for West Ham; they'd want us bent over a barrell before they sell to us. I don't get this really. Bamford is nothing like Powell. Powell has had nowhere near the level of success Bamford has.
