Professional sports aren't as big here as college sports. That's why our market isn't good compared to our population. Our powerhouse college US football teams get upwards to 100 at stadiums that hold them compared to our professional US football teams which usually get around 80k which is the most popular sport here. Other professional sports in the US only get 20k people at their games. So english football starting to reach 15-20k people here is a huge step. While you may not see it as important, I see it as important for the GAME in the US. Not to mention more money for chelsea = better players to be brought in. I don't think the stars will play much, only through half time if that. It's for fun, and they'll enjoy playing the game for fun rather than for competition for once.

Americas football market is growing quite rapidly. MLS teams are starting to sell out all their games. Granted our stadiums are only built to hold 15-20 thousand people. However, from where football was in the US, it's quite an achievement. Chelsea coming to the states will only help the game grow here too.

I don't think he would've retired without having somebody he personally likes set to replace him. Hopefully this is not Mourinho

It's different when it's the team you root for and the team you root against. You're always going to be pissed off if a player on another team does it and not as pissed off if pissed off at all if a player on the team you root for does it. You can't really compare the two.

1st commentator: "With Chelsea, There is quality but there isn't really quantity. 2nd commentator: "Well there is, they are just off playing somewhere else." And there in lies the problem with our team.

Hazard has had his blues and his reds mixed up all game.

Is FIFA investing F. Torres for match fixing? If they aren't, they should probably start to now.
-
I know he's an clear cut 100% upgrade to Torres, but people need to kind of hop of the Ba train a little bit. He only has 1 goal in 5 matches played and has 9 shots. Comparing those stats to his production away from chelsea he's about 4% (11% here 15% at newcastle. less on goals divided by shots. And this is worse than torres (12%). And we're always reliant on our AM. They score the most goals even when Ba plays. However, we look a lot better has a team when Ba plays. And for whats it worth. Torres shoots on goal more often than Ba.
-
That's exactly what I said when I was watching the game. 5 minutes makes absolutely no sense.
-
I don't get how people are blaming Rafa for this. You wanted him to rest players and he did. One man can only do so much. He's not the one out there passing the ball. I don't even like the guy but some people are just looking for someone to blame and he's easily been the scape goat all year.

Can't believe I woke up at 7 am for this shit

This is absolutely awful.

The one problem I see with Matas game, is his corners. Am I the only one who thinks so?

What a stupid and pointless argument considering I said Torres was hidden..
-
And I'm not saying that he isn't. But please give me one example of a cross in the box that he even had a chance on. Every cross was over his head or no where near his position in the box.
-
I simply find it funny more people are bashing Torres than Ivanovic. But that's how things go. Torres was hidden most of the game, however, I don't really think he was played a ball that he could do anything with for most part of the game. Ba came on and that's when the crosses started working. I want Ba to start, but I really don't think Torres deserves the amount of criticism he has been getting when he was never played a threatening ball and he was in perfect position to score at one point bot azpi played an awful cross in. Ivanovic was terrible this game. Two LOUSY mistakes that cost us the game. Take this with a grain of salt as I am just not a Luiz fan but I think he was sub par, his passes were off for most of the game. Hazard played well, Mata couldn't finish. I thought Oscar was more efficient today than he has been for most of the most recent matches. Ramires was brutal imo. Ba had to very good chances, wish he could've scored them. That's my personal assessment of the game.

Easily one of my favorite football personalities. Dude cracks me up.
-
I don't know if I agree with buying a footballer who has knee problems, seeing how important knees are to football players. If our goal is to improve the striking position over Torres then I would sign somebody who can play more than Ba. A player with knee problems can not play as much. Unless i'm just over exaggerating about his knees then let me know and I'll say that I was wrong and sign him..
-
Honestly there is no winning for Torres at Chelsea. People yell at him to score goals and when he does, people yell at him to be better all around. He's good striker, not a great one and it would benefit Chelsea greatly to bring in somebody better.

Best part about football, you can be getting dominated but one moment of brilliance can save everything. LAMAPARD!!!
