We really need to move the ball quickly in attack like Sarri mentioned because that's the only way to get past tight defences. I hope a full week of training has brought the team closer to that, because that is the base of Sarri's football, the one touch passing and quick movement to exploit the gaps before they close.

To be fair, Alonso has a great technique. Especially shooting technique, I think hes the best shooter in chelsea. But I value energetic, ashley cole type fullbacks so it makes me judge Alonso harder.

While moving without a care in the world

You know, when other fans criticized Hazard's output, we always said its because he's playing for defensive managers to get out of their hair. I'm in big trouble with my lads if Hazard doesn't perform now As a team, we need 70-85 goals to make top four, depending on our defense. Over the last 5 years, Hazard has had 14, 14, 4, 16, 12 goals. Hopefully hazard can do 20 goals under higher attacking football. Because its certainly not Morata that is going to score the goals we need to be in top four this season.

Marcelo is the perfect leftback for an attacking system but bad for a defensive system. Alonso on the other hand is just not that good in attack. How many assists has he had in 2 seasons with us? How many chances (key passes) has he created? Does he support Hazard with overlaps when Hazard cuts in? Is he capable of making runs off the ball to get unto through passes to stretch the play like Alba does constantly for barcelona? Or does he just wait for ball to feet and passes it back to the Defensive mid or Defender everytime? Alonso is on the wrong side of these questions and they are only about his attacking ability in open play. If we delve into the defensive side, then well we know how he is.. Take his set pieces away and hes just average. If an attacking coach like Guardiola (whose style is similar to Sarri) thought that Alonso's qualities are important, Kolarov will still be Mancity's leftback and not Mendy / Delph.

Honestly hope it doesn't come to that. It'll cost us points. I just don't know how Alonso has convinced Conte and Sarri that he's anywhere near better than our other options. Unless Emerson is really terrible in training.

Hazard is a great player, he can do it. 20 goals 15 assists is realistic if he shoots more. The only problem with the 15 assists is if Morata is still as bad as last season. Thats why against Huddersfield, Hazard chose to pass to pedro instead of Morata for the 3rd goal, right decision.

I think Marcelo makes up for his weak defending with his world class open play attacking that Alonso cant dream of replicating. Take away set pieces from Alonso and he ain't contributing much to chelsea. But he's the best we got for now so we have to make do.

If he does that, that will dent any talk of him being better than Neymar and co. I'm confident that under sarri's system, a fully fit Hazard will contribute 40+ goals and assists. From his sub appearance against Huddersfield, you can already see how many touches of the ball he will get compared to under Conte where he'll be defending for half of the match. He already has an assist, and from the training I've seen Hazard doing, Sarri wants to Improve his finishing from outside the box. (I've always said that there's no need for Hazard to be making extra dribbling when he's already in shooting range from the edge of the box) This season, I'm expecting 35-40 goals and assists minimum.

I think hes in love with Hazard
