His ability to dribble through a swarm of bodies is his real talent and doing that will scatter the center of the opponent defense and disorganize them in the process making it easier to break any defense down. If he is double marked by the CMs, fabregas is free to pick passes. If he is double marked by the DM and a centerback, costa has only one CB on him and we know what happens. If he is marked by a fullback and DM, Willian/schurlle is free. Hazard will be the fulcrum of our attack, his mare presence will leave his teammates with so much space it'll be impossible to defend us. Would love to see 5 consecutive games with him there.

Last season I complained about him slowing down attacks and dribbling towards the wings instead of towards dangerous areas. Not this season. He is now taking the game to the opposition by attacking the box with his dribbles. As a result, defenders are getting yellow cards more often due to hazard. I don't know if he's been reading this thread or it's the presence of costa and fabregas who have to be marked, leaving space for Hazard has made him free and change his style. I want him to develop his shooting too but let's enjoy his more aggressive dribbling style for now, the goals will come.

He has poor decision making. He is a better dribbler than any one on our team except hazard though. Not a significant enough improvement to spend big money on him, rather spend that on reus and guarantee quality.

I think the 4 fullbacks helps defensively against teams on the counter. They hold so much possession so they mostly defend counters because of how high up the pitch they are normally. muller Lewandoski Robben Alaba lahm Alonso Bernat dante benatia rafinha Rafinha and bernat are usually so high up the pitch, so it leaves alaba and lahm to defend the fast counters on the flanks and because they are natural fullbacks, its easy for them. When they get back Ribery, thiago, Schweinsteiger and boateng, their team will be even far stronger. Imagine this Ribery Lewandoski Robben Schweinsteiger thiago Alonso Alaba boateng benatia lahm With muller, Götze, Martinez, shaqiri on the bench. Very very strong team in the Champions League. Meanwhile Dortmund has been shit. They can't even create chances to score unless its on the counter. Klopp should sack their medical staff. We were 4 points behind with hazard injured in the last months, with torres as our striker and no chance creator like fab in the midfield. Mourinho did well considering the circumstances. Credit has to be given to Mourinho for identifying the targets needed. It takes a manager like Mourinho to properly use the money given to him to get the exact personel needed. Give wenger money to fix his team and he forgets to buy a centerback, a DM. Give Rodgers 120mil and he buys midtable players. People think just giving money equals success but forget you have to be smart about it. The manager plays a big role, unless you spend 200mil like united without balancing the finances like we did.

Hazard will be our most important player because of his huge potential. But right now he is equal with the one that puts the ball in the net. With torres upfront we would be 5 or more points behind(fact). People shouldn't underestimate the importance of a proper goalscorer. Hazard, fabregas and Costa are all equal in importance imo

Damn. Reading this just made me think. If oscar fulfills his potential, he could be one of the most complete and all round midfielders.

He's not a bad player, he just has average technical qualities(poor: dribbling, passing and vision) which will always get exposed here and there. His style of being on the end of chances is a good thing, he just needs to start finishing them off.

I always knew they would get that 4th spot. Dimaria is performing just as I thought, so their attack will always outscore their woeful defensive problems. It helps them that they aren't in Europe so they have liverpool's last season advantage of having 1week to prepare tactics while the rest of us use 2-3days.
