Scoring is creativity in football if you don't know. Lampard is a greater player than mata will be and if you think that makes mata worthless then that's your opinion anyway.

Scoring goals is creativity especially the unbelievable goals lampard scored through out his career never mind his assists from open play and set pieces. Lampard >>> Mata

I read here that he was terrible this and terrible that in the last game. But in the first half all our attacking players were restricted offensively and schurrle was the more proactive(but still restricted) with defensive shape and solidity in mind waiting to capitalise on their mistakes but this was due to the tactic employed in a must win game where fancy football goes out the window however in the second half they all played well with less restriction in search of a second goal. If anything that was clever play ensuring they take the lead into the half time break. How was he terrible? By giving an assist for a much needed second goal or by attempting through passes that were blocked (No risk no reward) How did he make the assist complicated? By showing his class and taking the initiative in order to spoon feed torres for the goal. Complicated Assist? WTF

We've looked strong with and without him this season. The squad is far stronger than last year and with a better manager too. He has his quota to contribute just like any other player but with serious competition. Wish him luck.

I am now pretty sure our starting line up will not be far from this with tactical changes depending on how the game progresses. A draw seems most likely but if we score first we are likely to win it. I still think Eto'o should start against city except we intend playing with a low block where torres is perfect but its a home game so we should be more proactive which suits Eto'o. He has more clever movement, link-up play and does better with his back to goal than torres. I'd bring torres on at about the 60minute mark Torres will be massive as a super sub with his energy and hardwork but i don't really think he will get the type of chances he loves to score.

Very good game from him. Hope he shows same form in EPl with goals. Europe has been his strength in chelsea.

A very good second half. Top notch finish for the goal. Surprised to know that's his first goal in Ucl for chelsea, hopefully we won't wait so long for the next. Now that he is scoring he seems not to stop. More maturity to his game also(less dribbles more effect).

It was quite clear that mourinho wasn't officially interested in cavani, he said it himself. If he wanted mainly goals he would have gone for cavani/lewandowski/Jackson martinez/sturridge(Lol) he would even have resisted sending lukaku on loan but no he wanted rooney then eto'o, who can give goals but also other attributes which the others do not really possess but he knows they are not currently as prolific as the others.

What a goal, he changed the game. He is in World class form to many but i see him as a world class player. That's the only way I can explain this sublime but important goals he is scoring taking nothing away from his overall performances in all competitions for club and country.

It was Oscar to hazard to eto'o to goal. Oscar to hazard combo is becoming more frequent.

I don't think mourinho signed eto'o to be the most prolific striker in Epl neither was his intention to sign rooney about being the most prolific, but the other attributes they possess made rooney and eto'o his strong favourites and so far eto'o has been showing those other qualities but has started scoring also and mourinho knows eto'o may not be as prolific but will still get his fair share of goals and blend with the team. He is forging a telepathic combo with our attacking midfielders, who cares who puts the ball in the net? Eto'o will surely score enough though.

Solid game. Good minutes for him. His combination with ivanovic on the right wing usually seals that wing defensively.

I think it could be a mistake if scolari doesn't select willian for the world cup. Willy should be oscar's competitor for no. 10 in brasil as he also brings creativity, balance and energy but can also fill in for neymar and hulk if necessary. Brasil need him
