Guillem Balague Website The seasons only started ffs and this guy wants to know if key players should start getting a break ? Our squad is already paper thin as it is. Defensively we're well sorted for cover, but the midfield and up front we do look uncomfortably short in cover. Belletti looks as though he'll be getting games in midfield to help out and Ivanovic I think can play as a defensive midfielder should Mikel get injured/suspended. Ballack is the only real option in midfield to come in (in terms of it being his natural position). Di Santo really needs to be given game time if we're to do well this season. If Drogba and/or Anelka again get injured/suspended we'll be relying on him to be our main striker, and thats alot of pressure to put on his shoulders at this stage. There are options out there who we can bring in such as Appiah, but it remains to be seen if anyone will be brought in. With the long season ahead, although we're doing well atm, a few injuries here and there and we're snookered.

Thats bollocks. I've been a Chelsea fan for 20 years and been to 3 games. The last one was just before RA took over. If I wanted to go to as many games as I could I wouldnt pay my bills and live on beans on toast. People have financial commitments amongst other things. So does that make me a lesser fan ?

Thats fair enough, but dont you think theres a bit of a spoilt brat attitude come out over this ? If Clarke wants to go we shouldnt stand in his way. He's obviously put some serious thought into this and as LFS admitted himself, they talked at length about this and Clarke still decided he wanted to go. The club is digging its heels in and arent going to let anyone play with their toys. To me thats wrong.

I've been trying out sopcast today. Previously I've had trouble getting it to load up, and today has been the same. Its been getting to 6% and stalling. I cant stand watching the game on Justin TV as it keeps stopping and starting. If anyone else gets a decent sopcast link please post it in here. :thumbsup:

LFS will probably bring in his own man tbh. As much as I'd like to see an old boy back at the club, I cant see it happening.

When he says better offer, he could mean money or the chance to play regularly. He may well get both until early next year if he joined us, but would he get regular football once Essien and Ballack return to full fitness. Thats the only worry about getting him.

They're saying that he's handed in his resignation and that Chelsea havent given West Ham permission to talk to him. How does that work out?. If he's resigned surely he can do what ever the hell he wants? I do feel sorry for Clarke. He's given everything to the club and has always been someone the players and fans alike have been able to identify themselves with. He's Chelsea through and through. Good luck to him.
