Well, you are both right, but if I were Mata I would be upset. I mean, he is in competition for Fabregas and Silva spot (not Cazorla, since he gives more of a CF mixed with CAM role) and he is playing better than both of them. They are better players IMO, but he has the better momentum. Dont get me wrong, as I pointed out I want him to stay at Cobham resting. However, you do feel sorry for the guy!

1st, I totally disagree Carzola and Silva are more adaptable in Spanish style of play, I will give you Fabregas (who is in bad form). 2nd, VDB has not won 2008 Euro. 3rd, even though he won 2010WC and 212Euro, he is widely contested in Spanish media (they feel Spain should be more agressive and play better). We are nobody to argue with the coach, but everybody does it anyways. Dont we constest RDM, Mano Menezes, Fabio Capello, etc?

I did not wrote people are questioning he is very good, people are questioning he is the best choice for CFC. You pointed out 3 other goalkeepers you would prefer... Buffon is already too old to change clubs, has no connection with CFC nor England and his prime is behind him. Hart has more ups and downs than any of those 4 and plays for a newly rival. Neuer is pretty hated in England and is totally overrated. Cech did some amazing and unforgettable things for us, loves the club and, lastly, is a hell of a keeper! With Cech, JT, Lampard and Drogba (already gone) I feel the same way, there might be better players in their positions, but I wouldnt let them go for nothing.

That is true, but it was only one game (stil early to say he delivers on DM) and due to the circunstances (Diaby out, Arteta schooled by Oscar) it was the biggest of the tests for him.

Totally agrred. People also tend to compare his good performances with Brazil, but Brazil rarely defends. They play very foward and opositions play on counter-attacks. His abalities to defend and keep posetion should be evaluated against big clubs (ManCity, Juve, RM, etc), not against clubs like Norwich, Southhampton, etc.

Ramos is great, but lets not waist our money (well, Roman`s money)! We have 2 extraordinary defenders and a great one (I dont rank David that high) and we got some real young talent. If we really care about our legends and about our academy, Ramos has no space in the squad...

I totally agree with you, Okore is top class (I pointed that out in pre-game discussion). But I think he is talking generically, always when someone has a great game against us people start asking for their signing.

Some small portion of the forum I guess. But in my opinion they were just triyng not to play the "political incorret" role. We played poorly and stil won 4-0. Yes that equalised could have become a real threat, but we were deserving a reality check.
