Our problem was never number, but quality!Marin and Benayoun were always available, which shows that the number of options wasnt a problem. The thing, neither RDM nor Benitez used them because everybody knows they cant get the job done. Getting rid of Marin and buying a top RW, plus recalling KDB is more than enough depth, there is absolutely no need to buy Schurrle (unless we are planing on selling KDB)...
-
Yeah, I think we should buy Sneijder and Boateng for 15mi each and sell Oscar and Mata!
-
But why do we need to buy a depth player, when we have other priorities and all the depth we need are already loaned? I mean, if we indeed buy Cavani, Hulk, De Rossi and Mangala, we dont need anyone else. First of all, because they will be expensive enough. And second of all, because the players we may need to add depth, we already own them (Lukaku, KDB, Chalobah, Piazon, etc). If we have Hazard, Mata, Hulk (or another RW), Moses and KDB, there really is no need for Schurrle. 5 players for 3 positions (and that is because I am leaving Oscar out) is more than we need. Hazard-Mata-Hulk is a monstruous combination, Moses can play in any of the wings, KDB can play in any of the attacking trio positions and Oscar is a world class #10. Also, If something extraordinary happens and someone gets a long ban or a long injury, we would still have Ramires, Lampard or Bertrand to cover it as a last case scenario...So tell me, where does Schurrle fit? Schurrle would be a good sign if he was good enough to be first choice RW, but since he is not, it is much more logical to go for Hulk/Di Maria/Sanchez! The price itself is not that bad, it is just that he is not good enough to play as a regular starter, so there is no need for this deal to go through (since he is not a major priority)...

I very much doubt Jose will say anything at all about Cavani tomorrow!
-
Can't we just loan KDB to Bayer Leverkusen without getting Schurrle in return?
-
EXACTLY! It is more than normal to miss home, specially when you move from a lovely warm beach city that is Valencia... Not counting the food, language, culture, etc!

Best Formation for current Chelsea Squad?

We struggled last season because we had no striker and no right winger (not counting the pivot's major problems). Buying the right players, makes 4-2-3-1 balanced enough. Also, you dont make your best players adjust to the team, but the team adjust to the best players. Hazard, Mata and Cavani/Lukaku are better with a line of three attacking players + a target man than with three lines of three players. If we change it to 4-3-3, it will be a longer period for everyone to adjust to it! -

CM: He doesn't defend enough to please Mourinho there and he doesn't really have the body type to be able to handle the physicality... RW: He isnt half as effective on the RW as in other areas of the pitch. Can he play there? Of course, but he wont be the Mata we all know! So I will ask again, where would Mata play on a 4-3-3 and be just as good? -

Great alternative for a 4-3-3!

4-3-3: Where would Mata play? 4-4-2: We struggled to get one good striker last season, how exactly do you plan on playing with 2? 3-5-2: Same problem with the 2 strikers. Plus, 3 on the back, really? -
A new stadium should be carefully planed, I dont want another Emirates!

I think 4-2-3-1 is our best formation, because Mata and Hazard work better with it. Also, by the rumors, Jose is looking for a ST, RW, DM and CB. Which fits the bill for a 4-2-3-1 formation plan... -
There are people in here who just cant hold their horses. Better see if yall dont suffer from premature ejaculation!

You can have a wank, you can read a book, you can watch youtube videos, you can chat with that blonde girl, you can play football manager, you can spend your time reading the transfer threads in here, etc, etc, etc!

Go do something useful, I feel my brain losing IQ points only by reading about that stuff...

Simple, Torres will look for a new club or he will not play at all. Ba as the substitute of Cavani, of course! Btw, I really wish we would pay 51mi instead of 49...
-
The thing is that in a League, it is not about who has the best team in a h2h, its about whom can make the most points against the bottom half of the table. City's main problem this year (and last) was the lack of focus and desire their players showed against weak opponents, and thar I dont think will change overnight! I am not taking anything for granted, but if the rumored players we are trying to get really come to the Brigde, I think we have a slight better shot to make it...

We Hate Scouse, is he coming or not? You have the final word!

LOL, I was going to post what I just did and I kept getting SQL Error Server, so I would return and post it again. When I saw, I had probably made the first ever tripple post in the history of TC!

I dont like the price on this deal and I understand where concerns come from, if it actually goes through, of course. However, Cavani doesnt become a bad player because he is overpriced! This dude scored 29 goals in Serie A (which is just as hard as EPL, if not more), he also bullied our defense when Napoli almost beat us in UCL, he has everything a striker needs, etc. There is no need to question him just because the price is high... Top and expensive deals are always risky, but just ask Real Madrid how lucrative (I dont only mean money) they can be. Zidane, Figo, Ronaldo, etc. All made tons of money and incredible impact on the field. I know there are the Kaka's and Robben's of the world, but just because one or two big transfer doesnt work out, it doesnt mean its stupid for a club to do a big time transfer from time to time (if needed)... Btw, Sheva was not that bad of a deal as people make, our only immense mistake in a full decade was Fernando Torres. Lets not that cancer scare us in this Cavani trasnfer!!!

I think that is only for you!

No Nour...Look, Harry just turned 13, so when Backstreet09 was 13yo, he was catching pokemons. Doing the math, that is probably next year!!!

I dont see anyone falling in love with Givanildo Vieira de Souza, so no, I dont think its his surname. Hulk is better than Schurrle and gives us physical presence and defensive work-rate. He has a great long shot and he does know how to cross. That is something Mourinho will definitely be looking for....Hulk is also much better than any option we have for right wing. Unless you still believe Moses is an amazing player who will be better than Neymar, lol. Or that Mourinho will keep using Mazacar. Have said that, I would not want him or more than 25mi pounds. He is not worth more than that!
