AVB is a great manager and I dont get those angry fanboys who cant see it. Just because he fail at Chelsea (and we got to admit the players didnt help either), it doesnt mean he is bad or all he's got is potential...
-
I never hated AVB and I didnt want him to get sacked, but I believe it was better for both parts. He got another chance to prove himself at a more experienced stage of his career and we got Munich and Jose Mourinho... Fair play to him for acknowledging his mistakes, it grows my respect for him. AVB is still a great manager!

1) Fred is a really good player dude, just ask any Lyon fan. The problem is that he is old and our young options all failed (Pato, Jo and Damiao), but there is no miracle Brazil can do, it is not like we can use the transfer window to buy a good #9. Also, Neymar is not a striker, he is a foward playing as a left-wing, which is very different. This will get off topic though, we better move it to the International thread or stop. 2) I dont deny that (although I disagree with all your examples). However, there will always be discutions like that with a national team like Brazil (as there are with Spain and Germany), every time people have complains because X, Y or Z didnt make the cut. So, because Paulinho does get the starting job and performs well is enough proof that he is a great player and up to the task of playing at a high level in EPL (which is obviously a big jump from the Brazilian League)... 4) I agree, but all of that was after Chelsea, wasn't it? I was comparing Ramires' pricetag when he was still in Benfica. With that raw Rambo in mind, I think no one can say he was worth more than what Paulinho is now. I mean, both transfers were not bargains, but neither were they bad deals. All I am saying is that Paulinho has earned the right to move a good European team for 17mi euros!

1) Fred is a great player, the best striker Brazil has right now. 2) Paulinho gets to the Brazilian team in a position Brazil has many options and that alone speaks for itself. 3) Paulinho is a late bloomer, it doesnt matter where he has played in the beginning of his career. It matters that he plays for one of the biggest clubs of Brazil, winning everything one can possibly win (being Corinthian's major player). 4) Ramires was around the same price and he isnt that better of a player (if any). He played for Benfica, which is in a worse league and dominates the other teams, making it easier for Rambo to put spetacular performances. More than Paulinho can at Brasileirao...

Another shit piece of English sports journalism. Paulinho's buy-out clause is of 17mi euros. So, they either didnt convert the currency (which is very common) or Spurs simply wanted to overpay because they are generous!

Someone is having a bad game today!

Iniesta is just so, soooo good!

I know, but I had just posted that he wasnt a DM (you even quoted) and then you ask who is better. Didnt make much sense... To better answer your question, Gustavo and Paulinho are very different players and it is hard to compare. Paulinho is a box-to-box midfielder who is an average defender but very good at being the surprise men in the attack, while Gustavo is a typical quality DM with a strong left foot. Like I said, very different players! Paulinho is an improved Scott Parker, with better pace and finishing (and about the same level when passing or marking). He will be a great add to Spurs, especially because he will keep their defence solid and he will be another good scoring option besides Bale and Defoe/Adebayor. He is a good player, very good actually, but nothing hugely spetacular... Sorry if I came out rude, wasnt my intention!
-
Seriously? I just asked for people to stop thinking he is a DM and then you ask which of Luiz Gustavo (DM) or Paulinho (CM) is better? They both play together for the Brazilian NT...
-
Lukaku - Ba - Torres is not miles away from Soldado - Lukaku - Ba! With that in mind, I would prefer us to spend the money elsewhere...
-
Can people please learn that Paulinho ins't a DM?
-
Relax Barbara, he is just bitter!

LOOOOL, I actually do know Neymar!

Brazil in the Confederations Cup: 3-0 vs Japan 2-0 vs Mexico 4-2 vs Italy Not too shabby for a team most people say cant win a big tournament!
-
Then, those who want to see promising football stars fail, arent true football fans! No matter where they play, it is fun to watch players like Messi, CR7, Pirlo, Bale, Neymar, Ribbery, etc. Yes, when Chelsea plays them we want to win. But overall, people should be happy they have the chance to see them do wonders week after week. They are the ones who bring new fans and make the media, they are the ones who sparkle happy emotions on all of us. Big stars are what most fans watch football for! Players like Neymar are great for the sport, people should have the exact opposite reaction...
-
Maybe because penalty doesnt have advantage? Also, you cant revoke a whistle. You can only use the advantage rule if you havent actually stopped the game...
-
He hasnt been play-acting, he is just small and light, so he falls a lot. About him asking for oppositions to get booked, that is just part of football, you are very naive if you think that doesnt happen all the time. And the foul he did on Abate shouldnt have been a red, you are just having a super biased judgement on him because you dont like Neymar! I cant understand why you all hate him. You dont know him and never watched him play regularly. I really dont get it. Maybe it is jealousy...

NEYMAAAAR, the guy who is overrated and is worse than Moses scored his third goal in the competition!

LMAO! Shut up! :lol2:

Why FIFA cuts the national anthems to 90s at the most? It is fucking ridiculous, disrespectful to say the least!
-
Oscar, I knew him since his days in Americana-SP (5-6 years ago).

Do you know what a 3rd party ownership is to begin with?

Premier League attempting to block First Row

I dont see a logical reason behind not doing an international league pass either! For instance, NBA has two types of packages. One that offers all access to every single game for 249,90 dollars (but the amount of games is way bigger than any football league) and another that gives access to all games from one specific team for 129,90 dollars! I dont even need to say that both packages are big hit with the NBA (and it is not only in the NBA). Not only it supply the internal demand, but it lets people from countries without ESPN ir Fox Sports to watch the games of the sport they love... The FA can do it, they have the money to invest in a decent server to make all of this possible. I bet it would be a tremendous success that would be lucrative to both the clibs and the association. -

I will just continue to watch through my good old cable box, where almost every game is live and in high definition!
