  1. That is a grown up statement, something that people lack when talking about Neymar!
  2. Of course you arent emotionally attached to Neymar. He isnt Lebanese and he doesnt play for Chelsea. However, you do want him to fail because you get all happy when he does. Also, fair analysis, but I think he was good vs Japan besides his goal and he is had a great corner in the 89th minute to beat Uruguay!
  3. It is simple if you have absolute faith in the player, which I do. For instance, Harry was absolutely sure Lampard would be an success, something the West Ham fan didnt. Only time will tell who is right. You dont need to believe in me, it is not like it will change anything. But if you want to know why I am so dam sure about it, you can PM me. All I can do is tell the truth, if you want to disagree, it is your right to... That is exactly what I am saying. Dont try to apply your European culture to a South American game, it wont work. In Brazil (Chile is the worst though), it is ok to dive and end of story. You can find it as disgraceful as you want. South Americans will continue to do it and will continue to win it that way. So, because of that, Neymar shouldnt be crucified for a 'trait' that is inside everyone down here. When he plays for Brazil, he will do it. It is not right, it is not wrong, it is just how it is. The morals are aet by your culture. Brazil won 5 World Cups playing dirty, Argentina 3 and Uruguay 3. It wont end with one single 21yo kid. Pelé did it, Romario did it, Rivaldo did it and Neymar will do it. However, if he does it in Europe, I will be the first to criticize. Because when you are not at your house, you dont play by your rules! What does the 'marketing' or 'dumbness' of other people have to do with Neymar? He gets a lot of hate for things he isnt responsible for. It is not his fault he is so good that people overreact... I can see that, but just like Suarez, he will be playing for one of the two big clubs in Spain and people will have to swallow them!
  4. He will fit well at the Camp Nou museum also. Alongside Romario, Rivaldo, Ronaldo, Belleti, Ronaldinho, etc..
  5. 1) Many people (Artinho and Choulo included) said he is going to fail.2) He went for 28mi euros + 10mi in agents (his father included) and third party fees. It is just like the stupid 175k/week Hazard false stories. I can swear to my life that he only went for that, I heard this from the only mouth I would trust regarding Neymar. 3) You dont understand what goes on at Brazil vs Uruguay/Argentina. He is not an European, so he doesnt hale to follow your 'conduct rules', and thank fuck for that. Besides, any of the brazilian players would do the same as Neymar did. The game is played dirty in South American and that is how the culture is. People are more mainly here, there is no politically correct when trying to win a game. Does he dive? Yes. But he wont in Barcelona, because he knows the game is bery different in Spain and Europe. 4) What 'best in the world' task force? Neymar knows he will never be the best in the world playing with Messi (because Messi will always outshine anyone). If he cared about winning Ballon D'Or he would have joined us when he had the chance. 5) Do you honestly think he care what anyone thinks of him? Please, lets not be naive. We can all scream whatever we want, it is not like any player will pay attention.
  6. Funny how you didnt show up in this thread while Neymar was shuting you up with amzing displays, 3 goals and 2 assists! I love how you all want him to fail, but will all have to swallow your prides and watch him shine! :lol2:
  7. 1. Isco would have been bad for the balance of our current squad. 2. Isco would have been too good for Manchester City. 3. Thanks Real.
  8. Oh, we will probably lose, I have no doubt. But that doesnt take away the fact history always repeat itself with Scolari! Also, I want to lose without being trashed. It will be important for everyone to keep their feet on the ground for the World Cup in 2014...
  9. Haven't you learned anything about Scolari? It is always the same. The team plays relatively bad throughout the tournament, but still manages to advance. Then, the team plays well in the final (might even lose, but still)... - Gremio 1995 and 1996. - Palmeiras 1998, 1999 and 2000. - Brazil 2002. - Portugal 2004. - Palmeiras 2012. - Brazil 2013 and 2014(?).
  10. I wish there wasnt a game on Sunday for 3rd and 4th place. I want Cavani confirmed as soon as possible!
  11. LUGANO, VIADO! LUGANO, VIADO! LUGANO, VIADO!
  12. Cavani can fuck himself with his work ethics all he wants...
  13. Having one of the worst games of his career today. It is 10 vs 12, basically Brazil vs Uruguay + Luiz!
  14. Really? I actually think the very opposite. Bad game and bot very deservingly for Brazil to be winning, 1-1 would have been more fair!
  15. That is actually true, but I still disagree though!
  16. If he continues to show his quality, I will continue to call him great no matter if he wins trophies or not. A manager can win a tournament doing a lot of mistakes and so can a manager lose a tournament doing absolutely everything right! I only talked about trophies because you started with the CV thing. However, a manager doesnt become great only after winning a trophy, he has to be already great before. The fact someone is great at what it does takes them to glory and not the other way around. For instance, imagine Neymar takes Brazil to be World Cup winners in 2014. That doesnt mean he will only be great after winning it. It is not how it works. Neymar had to be already great before, even if the recognition comes after the trophy. The same applies to Mourinho, he is not great because he won things everywhere. But he won many things exactly because he is more than great.
  17. First I havent said that, just read the post again if you like (or you can read your own quote if you think I edited it). Second, one (see, not you in specific) that think Pep hasnt had a huge impact on Barcelona certainly doesnt know much about football. It is just the truth. Also, you or anyone else (including me) can all have teir opinions. That doesnt take away the fact our opinion can be terribly wrong!
  18. Wrong! AVB, has a quite impressive number of trophies and acomplishments for a manager wirh 4 seasons. Just compare it with to any of the top manager's first 3-4 years of their career. So, by your standards, AVB is indeed a great manager. That is rather naive (to be polite). Both, Pep and Andre are great managers! AVB built that Porto team, so I dont see how you can use it as a negative argument to him. Also, he is doing a good job with Spurs and will obviously improve next season... About Pep, one that cant see the difference in Barcelona of 2008 and Tito's Barça to Guardiola's 2009-2012 team simply doesnt know anything about football. One can argue that he wouldnt win half of what he did if he had a 'normal' team, which I agree. You can also call him a coward or whatever for choosing this fantastic Bayern Minich squad. But to say he isnt a great manager is just insulting... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Maybe you two are just being way too critical because you dont like them.
  19. You dont messure quality by CV. You are acting just like Benitez, who has an impressive CV but is a bad coach in reality. Besides, AVB has a good CV for his age and experience! You only need to follow him closely to see he has a very good eye for talent, knows his tactics brilliantly and has drastically improved his man management and motivation. All qualities more than essential to a great manager. You may be confusing what I said. I never said the Portuguese was one of the best in the world, all I said is that he is a great coach (which is true). For instance, if we asked people to do a list of the top 10-15 managers in activity, AVB would make most people's list... Definitely a great manager, no doubt!
