I always see this boring stats bullshit to prove if mikel is excellent or shit... rarely see questions like if we can improve the position mikel plays with another player or create competion for him to see if he can really deliver for our first team squad consitently with pressure , personallly I think we can get better player for his position and the system & style we are trying to play......

Watched the full match just now but have to say after a long time our pivot loked really good , mvg-essien really impressed me both were very dominant physically and aerially and the passing was also quick and crisp .. but the momment both were subbed off defensively we became a little vulnerable....but still a pre season match not judging early....

Maybe people dont want him because of this......

I dont get this all shooting bullshit a winger main job is to create chances for attackers not shoot and score and if it is for shooting or work rate we are buying him then we are better off playing de bruyne he has everything we need he consistently create chances and also is a goal threat from midfield......

Schrulle is certainly a good player one of the standout players for bayer but buying him for 20mill and playing him just because he is a hard worker just doesnt makes sense its just like playing ramires in wing .. he does have good shooting ability and pace but also have average first touch and combination & link up play which was noticable when bayer played under Robin Dutt’s philosophy of passing in very tight space last season.... so still have mixed felling about this transfer....

Schrulle here will make our formation more narrower i mean that guy just cut inside and shoots and I hardly see him cross .... I would rather have lars bender here from leverkusen than schurrle that guys is a machine......

My only concern is if Schurrle plays well in the left side were he starts the most were will hazard play?? In the right wing I hope not, that's like half his effectiveness gone....
