Good article - history shows governments are really slow to withdraw big brother state apparatus and surveillance when emergencies are over. Theyre also quite keen for everyone to have the Covid App at the moment that monitors everything you do.

NHS doctor on R5 has seen dozens of deaths, real suffering, people drowning in their own fluids in the last 12 hours. He said if Johnson was not on a ventilator, just an oxygen mask for a couple of hours he can't have been very ill. He also said new NHS staff arriving on flights from Europe and elsewhere are going straight to work on intensive care wards, non-Covid, with no testing or checks. He was very angry. This government are fucking useless.

In any other government, guaranteed our Home Secretary would be at the forefront, giving daily updates. We know Priti Patel (biggest expenses claimer year on year), would be a PR disaster at the lectern every day, with that annoying smirk -but as Home Secretary its disgusting she has disappeared since March 23rd.
